An odd case occurs for this troper. See, when placed with my younger sister, I'm the Blue to her Red. But when paired with a very close friend of mine, I'm the Red to her Blue. No matter what though, my sister is Red, especially in the case of her best friend, a boy who's a grade behind her.

Blue Oni: A CloudCuckoolander GamerChick/ WideEyedIdealist (but BewareTheNiceOnes if you mess with her friends). They've been dating for a few years now. And... they're kinda cute...O.o

The red oni Jack Russell Terrier Ginger is extremely hyper and not very bright, while the blue oni Rat Terrier Stu, despite having his hyper moments, is much calmer and more cunning. LegendOfTheFiveRings has Kurinto the Ronin (warrior, although with some tech skills, troper) and Sunako the Crane (diplomat, friend). What's also interesting, if they happen not to be wearing black In RealLife, the Red Oni prefers dark blue clothes (mostly jeans) and Blue Oni - red ones.

This troper and her best friend are a subversion; I'm the smart, passive-aggressive and logical one. She's the emotional, short-tempered, artistic, athletic one. But I am also a certified CloudCuckooLander, GeniusDitz, and ChaoticNeutral. She's the OnlySaneMan and TeamMom. However, everyone says this troper 'only has two settings: off-the-wall loud, bouncy and happy versus silently furious'. She spends 98% of her time on setting 1, earning her a strange type of stoicism. The Red Oni of the duo has a much larger emotional range and is much, much more prone to having ridiculous mood swings.

This is particularly obvious when we play chess; we learned together, and play it often. This troper is willing to sacrifice anything if she thinks it will help her, whereas her red oni counterpart will carefully conserve her pieces and always becomes emotionally attached to them, because she names them after favourite characters. In a subversion, though, the red oni is the Sane Man, whereas this troper is a Cloudcuckoolander and somewhat of a Bunny Ears Lawyer- however, this troper is more conscious of social standards and is careful not to go ''too'' far (in public, at least), whereas her red oni often doesn't realize she is being unconventional. If we were to assign alignments, this troper would be Chaotic Neutral ("If I'm smart enough to get away with it, why not do it? Who cares about morality/the rules?"), and her red oni counterpart Neutral Good ("No, don't cheat! That's not fair!").

This troper and his friend, who basically gave council to a teacher. I was Blue Oni, he was Red Oni. For some reason, our suggestions were opposing, but always benefited one another

The rival is a clean cut Blue oni but this troper contains elements of both but likes to think of himself as red in this case; he's aloof, quiet, slightly antisocial, observant, smart and stoic but never turns down a new experience or something that looks fun and becomes hot blooded and a determinator towards any goal he deems worthy. He sets up long term goals for himself but makes no plan other than achieving that goal and improvises the rest, making it seem like he's focused only on the present. He can ignore any insult towards himself or his goals but has a massive berserk button which can be pushed by doing anything bad to his friends. Recently this troper was made to do a speech for clas with his rival and the rival, despite not being a troper and never having this concept explained to him printed off the presentation with out different parts the colours red and blue. It seems this trope comes naturally to some people...

This troper is almost always the Blue Oni but especially so with his best friend. I'm the logical, analytical and very, very Spock like one. My best friend is the more emotional, funny comedic type.

He has shades of each but much more mellowed out, very intellectual, and quiet. We play off eachother, him calming me down and bringing me down to Earth, and me giving him a spark of energy and making him much less awkward in social situations.

This troper seems like the Blue Oni of any couple, but that's not the case, as he is a mix of both onis. He is very traditional, polite, kind, calm, and is well versed in intellectual pursuits. The rebellious, reckless, freedom-loving Fate's Fool (named because she is supposed to serve fate, but deliberately spites it instead), who's primary color is red, and the systematic, cold, law-abiding Umbral Aurora, who's primary color is blue.

In their FiveManBand, TheBigGuy (an energetic, fun-loving {{Berserker}} with power over fire) and TheSmartGuy (who's quiet, studious and into chemistry and video games, and has power over air) are a male Red and Blue Oni, respectively, whereas TheLancer (who's hot-tempered, sentimental, loves everyone, has a long-standing rivalry with TheBigGuy, and fights with water) and TheChick (cool, collected, enjoys reading and writing poetry, and fights with earth) are female versions, with TheHero falling neatly in the middle. At their high-school graduation, the male Red and Blue Oni wear red and blue ties, respectively; while the female Red and Blue Oni wear red and blue dresses, respectively. TheHero wears a purple dress.

Watching AvatarTheLastAirBender and reading BlackestNight, they've come to the separate yet complementing conclusions that this Troper, based on his wit and his overall chillness, would be of the Water Tribe, while his roommate's passion would place him in the Fire Nation, and that in the DC cosmology this Troper would be well-suited to the Blue Lanterns while his roommate has traces of Red Lantern-ness.

This troper and her best friend in high school were odd in that the best friend was pretty much the red oni's usual intelligence with the blue oni's temperament to the troper's red oni heart but blue oni's stereotypical knowledge. The troper was the hyperactive nerd who was talking most of the time, the friend very aloof and snarky, but where the friend would be usually in normal level classes, the troper was the one in Advanced Placement and reading books most of the time. It was... interesting.

My parents have two Boston Terriers. One of them is a tiny, hyperactive, adorable BrattyHalfPint. The other is sedate to the point of laziness and would much rather spend his time lying on my mom's lap all day. He is also in possession of a lot more common sense, and so is considerably less likely to plough face-first into fences at top speed. This troper is red and this troper is blue for ever and ever and ever.

This troper and his best friend eventually decided that we needed to settle who had the Red Oni and who had the Blue Oni, as we had been swapping it for about a year. We eventually decided he was the Blue Oni, since he usually thought ideas through more and was more careful while playing our favourite game, and I was the Red Oni simply because I go LeeroyJenkins whenever the hell I feel like it.

My brother and I switch dynamics at random. When I am a bubbly and cheerful Red Oni, he is serious and cynical. When we switch, he's acts HotBlooded and I'm quiet and shy. When we're around other people, though, we are Blue Oni to whoever it is.

In this troper's family, I'm the Blue Oni to my cousin's Red Oni. And interestingly enough, my aunt and uncle's dogs follow the same deal: One is a complete Red, willing to run off and bark at anybody who enters the house, while the other embodies Blue, and is willing to be nice (and wait to get petted).

This troper has a somewhat unique version of this with her friend. If we were both to have our ideal personalities, I would fit Red perfectly, and she would crate the perfect Blue counterpart. As we are in reality, however, I am the Blue to her Red on nearly every level.
