ThisTroper's character doesn't have a passenger mount yet, but did manage to get somone to race her from Icecrown to Sholazar Basin. She was quite amused to see them attempt to do the dismount and fall trick. The problem for them was, they were none of the classes/professions mentioned above...and she's a Druid. The crow was mocking much.

ThisTroper calls the ''failure'' to invoke one of the above methods of arresting one's fall the "[=RawrSplat=]", after a Druid who attempted the classic "intentionally dismount, shift to Bear form, then Feral Charge before hitting the ground" technique a bit too close to the ground.

This troper, aged nine, decided to try and ramp up the speed while on her rollerblades. She succeeded, going faster than she ever had before and getting into TooFastToStop territory. She then ran into a tree.

This troper did the same thing, only it was a glass door.

In gym, this troper's class was playing kickball indoors. This troper had kicked the ball and was on her way to first base, but got out right before she reached the base. She ended up crashing into the wall.

This trope is the main reason I never play as Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

My class was returning from a hiking trip, and we were walking down a steep hill. I somehow got it in my head to run downhill. To stop myself, I had to grab onto the teacher's arm as he was walking down.

When one of my parents was on second life for the first time she got out the go-kart to try it, managed to get into it (eventually), pressed the go button, and proceeded to fly straight into the ocean at the edge of the island, sink to the bottom, and have to fly back out. She did this a few more times, mostly at my encouragement.
It's surprising how little control over your body you have when you're tired. This troper was doing a warm up session for fencing, and at the end, the people who were still alive had a race. Indoors. This troper proceeded to crash into the wall.
