This troper is very guilty of writing these. In fact, she has three (may soon increase to four) that she's been lavishing love on for several months, that follow the stories of three RealPersonSlash couples for roughly their entire lives. Bandfic, if you're interested... and they all cross over, and they all have about fifty jillion subplots due to the linear timeline. Unlike some writers, this troper tries her damndest to stick to one plot at a time. In semi-related news, she's also a ShipperOnDeck for her guitar teacher/one of her best friends (45 and 32 respectively, no creepiness).

While it does walk the line between this and regular SlashFic (thanks to AlterEgoActing), ThatGuyWithTheGlasses has quite an active slash community. The people on the site are at least partly aware of this: one of those fics (by aunt_zelda) got dramatically read by Bennett the Sage.

I write fanfics about TheProtomen, using the band members in the story rather than just being about the content of their music. The MegaMan characters are still around, though.

This troper got her fan fic writing start this way. The subjects: members of two very popular late '90s boy bands. The fic is still out there on Angelfire.

At Carnegie Mellon University, there's an infamous slashfic starring two of the students in the C.S. Lounge group. The most impressive thing about it? Almost the entire Computer Science department knew about the fic for two years... except for the two starring characters.

A few years back, a bunch of friends of mine would ship the members of Avenged Sevenfold together.. resulting in pairing names such as "Syngeance" and "Bratt".

This troper is writing one. At least, I think so. I might be inventing my own genre. Yes, major current politicians are characters, but they aren't the focus. It involved her getting her hands on some dangerous biological weapons and how she had to be stopped by any means necessary. It felt great writing it. It's long gone, but let it be known that I gave her a fair chance and knew better not to let her lose so easily. If you're out there, Jennifer, I still haven't forgiven you.

This troper wrote one based on a joke with his track coach. It involved one of his 'girls' chasing me across the country, Mexican drug runners, an America vs China WW3, and a robot army. I feel it was pretty good work.

My local street press published a full page fanfic about the first meeting between Jack and Meg White. He later wrote a story about their fictional kid in the future...

I confiscated a work laptop after firing an employee and found six or seven Real Person Fics on the hard drive while salvaging documents. Some very entertaining stuff, but always ending with the requisite hookup with the MarySue character at the end. The celebs? RobertDowneyJr, Seth MacFarlane, HughLaurie, Alan Tudyk and a very attractive co-worker. I didn't really disagree with any of those subjects being worthy. If it weren't for the creepy factor, we should have hung out more. Anyway, I did tighten security for the next several weeks...

I was writing this before I knew what it was, with band members. I have now moved on and mostly just read for more obscure fandoms, but I did write one recently that involved SummerGlau and AmyAcker (but wasn't shippy). I'm actually pretty proud of it.

This troper has read some truly scorching Morrissey/Alex Kapranos fics. And occasionally she'll write slash between her and her Real Life crush. Never published, though.

This Twilight-loving tropette often wishes that Bennett the Sage would revive Masterpiece Fanfic Theatre. Why? Because she once found a terrible real-life fic in which the author, a 43-year-old crazy cat lady with a Harley Davidson fetish hooks up with Robert Pattinson. She couldn't make it past three paragraphs of the first chapter and is convinced the author of the fic should be institutionalized. It was so bad, it was just plain bad.

While this troper finds RealPersonFic to be one of the few subgenres that really weirds her out and absolutely won't read, she guiltily admits to occasionally including relevant celebrity cameos in her fanfics (such as Harry Potter seeing Equus starring Daniel Radcliffe in an effort to mentally torture Voldemort) and posting as a comment regarding Daniel Radcliffe's Funny or Die "interview" an alternative explanation of how everything Mr. Radcliffe says in the interview is true.
