This Troper is a geek, and proud of it! Once my older (by twelve years!) sister called me a nerd. I replied with a happy "And I'm just fine with that!" This troper was called a 'fucking insane nerd' by an annoying twat who was attempting to annoy her a couple of days ago. BTIsaac refers to himself as a 'convoluted narcissist', among other things, in his forum signatures. This was originally an insult a fanatical atheist threw at me because I disapproved of him bragging about destroying a bible (he singled out my current signature, which was already dripping with egoism, for an ad hominem attack). I changed my signature to contain the title, and thanked him for it, just to spite him.

This troper has had the rather odd experience of ''invoking'' InsultBackfire in an internet friend. So far as I can tell, he didn't even notice that it could be negative.

ThisTroper usually manages to piss off people by being his tactless self. (Example: I once told a girl she smelled like an unused urinal cake. It was true.)
