IKnewIt
#68776
{{Yu-Gi-Oh5Ds}}: This troper knew, JUST KNEW, (1) that Bruno was Dark Glass/Vizor from episode 74, (2) that Bruno was going to follow Team 5D's into the Arc Cradle in episode 138, (3) that Ushio/Trudge was the same guy Yami Yugi/Atem put down in Chapter 1 of the original {{Yu-Gi-Oh}}! Manga.
#68777
CALLED IT CALLED IT CALLED IT CALLED IT CALLED IT CALLED IT
#68778
This troper is proud to have called that ''DNAngel'''s Satoshi was cursed like Daisuke
#68779
Called two things:
#68780
''AvatarTheLastAirbender'': "Hey, Ty Lee would make a great Kyoshi Warrior!"
#68781
''WeddingPeach'': "Love triangle'd be easily solved if they put Takurou with Hinagiku and Yousuke with Momoko and stuck Yanagiba with Yuri..."
#68782
Called Amy's parents being eaten by the crack in Doctor Who.
#68783
This troper totally called Portgas D. Ace's recent death]] in ''OnePiece''. Heck, I called it about 50 chapters before it happened.
#68784
This editor was writing a whole essay speculating the fates of the new PowerTrio from the ''KingdomHearts'' {{Prequel}} ''Birth by Sleep.'' Her theories were as follows, along with what actually happens.
#68785
Ven's heart is inside Sora, and his body is inside the Chamber of Awakening, which is inside Sora. I was right about the first two points, but it turns out the Chamber of Awakening is inside Castle Oblivion.
#68786
The Xehanort we know from previous games is some kind of fusion of Terra and Vanitas, Master Xehanort's apprentice. Turns out, Xehanort IS a fusion of Terra, but with Master Xehanort's heart in his body, rather than Vanitas's.
#68787
Aqua's body is inside Xemnas's Chamber of Sleep; her soul and heart, their union with her body broken, are in the Dark Margin. What actually happened is that Aqua ''is'' in the Dark Margin, but all of her is there.
#68788
Vanitas looks like Xion with his mask off. I was more than a little off on this one; he still has dark hair, like Xion, but he actually looks like ''Sora.''
#68789
I was quite surprised to be right about all this, actually. That and happy that I wasn't so wildly offm and I only had to make the most minimal changes to my FanFiction.
#68790
This Troper and her friends were speculating on Birth By Sleep, and each of us had our own theories proven right. Troper in question thought that Terra would become Xehanort (although, this had become pretty obvious) her friend thought that Ven's heart would end up inside Sora, and my other friend...just wanted keyblades that turned into hovercrafts.
#68791
When it was announced on the tv that the planetoid Sedna had been discovered, this troper's little sister exclaimed "IKnewIt!"
#68792
At this point in time this little sister had also used her super-duper reasoning powers to deduce that {{God}} doesn't exist but the ''MenInBlack'' do.
#68793
Then she proved that black is white and got run over at the next zebra crossing.
#68794
Wait wait wait, God DOES exist, we have the Babelfish as proof!
#68795
And therefore he does not exist!
#68796
To escape the infinite logic loop, I will assume that Satan invented it before his StartOfDarkness because God thought "What the as-of-yet-nonexistent underworld, let him give it a whirl." Ironically, this taste of power caused Satan's FaceHeelTurn. I have yet to be Jossed.
#68797
No. A wizard did it.
#68798
And according to medieval theory, wizards get their power from Satan. QED.
#68799
It shuts the hell up and moves on or it gets the hose again. It does this whenever it's told.
#68800
This troper knew there'd be a God/none argument.
#68801
In my defense, The first two lines were both true.
#68802
This troper figured out that {{Chuck}}'s dad was Orion ''despite having only seen part of the episode after he was introduced and therefore not seeing any of the clues''. They figured it out through pure Genre Savviness.
#68803
My IKnewIt came after a random blurb in the last number of Super PLAY confirmed that the entire editorial staff ''hated'' the {{Wii}}.
#68804
My OTP in GossipGirl was Chuck/Blair from episode two. Win.
#68805
On a similar note, this troper recently got into XMenEvolution after watching one episode from late in the series. That one episode led her to decide that Kurt/Wanda was her OTP, despite knowing nothing about any of the characters. Then, about a week later, she found out about a certain AlternateUniverse offspring, and about them being a canon couple in another series. Reaction? "I CALLED IT!"
#68806
This troper, in her AP English class, guessed the ending of OneHundredYearsOfSolitude with about a hundred pages left. We had been forbidden to read ahead in the book, and this troper had stuck faithfully to the rule, but one day in class, she asked "Wouldn't it be cool if..." and then provided the town's secret. A hundred pages ahead of time. The teacher gave her a Look, and this troper thought the teacher thought she was nuts. Once the class got to the end of the novel, the teacher said "OK, now you know why I looked at you funny. You didn't read ahead, did you?"
#68807
I predicted that parents would mistake 9 for a children's film the minute she saw the PG-13 rating on the first poster.
#68808
My best IKnewIt moment was when I guessed the first ''DesperateHousewives'' season finale by a sentence Paul Young said (what tipped me off on the fact that Mary Alice was the killer was the fact that Paul didn't say ''I'' took care of that... he said ''we''.
#68809
I predicted the third version of Ruby and Sapphire would be called Emerald the very day I went to get it. This was before knowing about Rayquaza, or really anything at all about the games. I was also only eleven. Personally, I'm ''still'' impressed with myself.
#68810
The most pathetic IKnewIt that I have ever seen, and it is my own: I read ''KeychainOfCreation'' #253, a Friday update, and, upon reflection the next day, decided that Marena's no-longer-mother was a ManipulativeBastard. Take one look at ''the very next update'' from the following Monday.
#68811
I said this exact phrase out loud when reading ''The Blue Castle'' by L.M. Montgomery and it was revealed that Snaith was John Foster.
#68812
This Troper predicted the ''entire plot'' of the new IndianaJones movie after seeing one teaser trailer. Aliens, Soviet psychics, Mayas, even the 'head compression to imitate alien overlord' thing. I was actually sort of pissed that I managed to spoil a movie for ''myself''.
#68813
This troper is no longer allowed to speak while watching any movie or tv show because her "I bet so and so's evil" or "I bet this, this, and this will happen" comments are always right. The only contradiction to this was during the movie ''((Identity))'' where the entire plot was guessed correctly, but who the killer was was not.
#68814
This troper was convinced that the kid killed his mom on purpose from the very beginning, and the rest came soon after.
#68815
When this troper saw ''TheVillage'' I said to everyone around me something along the lines of, "The only thing that could make this movie any worse is if you find out this movie is actually taking place in modern times and the mysterious creatures were used to prevent anyone from getting out and ruining the illusion." To this day I've been more shocked that I was actually right than I've been with any of Shyamalan's movies.
#68816
This Troper's sister ruined {{Oldboy}} for herself, guessing that Mi-Do was Oh Dae-Su's daughter. She couldn't watch it after that, although, she ''did'' end up missing the ''other'' twist, which is why Woo-Jin did this whole thing in the first place.
#68817
In the cartoon ''InspectorGadget'', it was never explained how or why Gadget had all those gadgets, including extendable arms, legs, and neck and seemingly infinite space inside his hat. ThisTroper always suspect that he was in fact a cyborg, possibly a survivor of an accident or something. TheMovie confirmed it.
#68818
This Troper predicted almost the entire plot of James Cameron's 2009 Movie {{Avatar}} after watching the theatrical trailer (not that this was an incredibly difficult feat, mind you). Also, the second the protagonists flee the human base I knew that Dr. Augustine was going to get shot.I still enjoyed the movie very much, though.
#68819
Same here.
#68820
After ''Half-Blood Prince'' came out, this troper spent the next ''two years'' convincing anyone who would listen that Snape really was a good guy, and killed Dumbledore on Dumbledore's own orders.
#68821
I did the same thing but I feel it became more of an untwist because it seemed so obvious. He actively deflected Harry's spells BUT didn't kill him. When the ad campaign launched right before the last book with the "Is Snape Evil or Good" (I had a "Trust Snape" sticker) then I knew I was right because if it was cut and dry why bother with the ad?
#68822
Before ''Half-Blood Prince'' this troper recalls Mugglenet putting together an online encyclopedia of the characters. They called Snape pureblood. I e-mailed in, to say this had never been confirmed (it was also my private theory that Snape was half-blooded, and the prince in the titular next book). The site amended the entry to say "Probably Pureblooded." I did a happy dance after reading the sixth book.
#68823
This troper got into a public argument with a kid 10 years her younger while at the Midnight Showing of the 5th film...that little snot just wouldn't believe that Snape was innocent.
#68824
This troper was convinced the very first time that she read Deathly Hallows that Dumbledore loved Grindewald. The vindication she received when "WordOfGod" confirmed it tasted like cookies.
#68825
This troper couldn't help saying out loud "sure they were just friends" while reading a certain passage about the two.
#68826
This troper theorized it on her DA account after reading and contemplating for a while. And she knew who R.A.B. was immediately upon reading the initials. Took a hell of a long time for the right to say, "See?". My vindication tasted more like chocolate truffles though...
#68827
Immediately after reading ''HBP'' this troper was convinced R.A.B. was Regulus and had a VERY strong suspicion Harry would turn out to be the final Horcrux, and told everyone she met just so she would later be able to say "told you so." I wonder why my friends stopped hanging out with me...
#68828
This troper thought the 'Snape in love with Lily' theory was too predictable to actually be used for a surprise. Can you say double aversion?
#68829
This troper didn't even realize it was supposed to be a surprise, until she saw the discussions online.
#68830
This Troper knew after book 2 that Harry and Ginny would end up together and no one believed me.
#68831
Well, as of the second book Ginny was the only girl who'd taken a romantic interest in Harry so it wasn't that tough a call. If you maintained that belief all throughout the rest of the series, (specifically Order of the Phoenix) ''then'' it would be impressive.
#68832
This troper DID maintain that belief throughout the rest of the series...having formed a shipping pact with a friend at the age of 9. Although we moved away from eachother this troper called her friend after 5 years of not speaking just to gloat that we were right.
#68833
This troper got a very strong sense several books in advance that Dumbledore would be facing the MentorOccupationalHazard in either the last or the second to last novel. I had some difficulty explaining what it was about him back then - I had never heard of this Wiki for sure - though I did manage to get someone to agree he maybe had a kind of Obi-Wan Kenobi thing going on. Then, ironically, when it happened as I had foreseen years in advance, I had the same reaction as Harry did because I couldn't believe ''who'' killed him. Of course, that soon turned into what would become another IKnewIt that's described by others above.
#68834
Let's not forget the pre-''Deathly Hallows'' speculations on which Weasley would die (because we all knew it had to happen). This troper found book 7 rather bittersweet in that she was right in her guess on which Weasley it would be. Admittedly, it wasn't particularly obvious until part-way thru ''Deathly Hallows'', but I always had such a nagging feeling it would be him, especially after the way the series seemed to be taking on a AnyoneCanDie attitude in ''Order of the Phoenix'' and ''Half-Blood Prince''...
#68835
During the Three Year Summer, this troper and her friend predicted both Sirus and Dumbledore's deaths.
#68836
This troper predicted the Ron/Hermione pairing from book one onward. Something about the way Ron told her "don't nag" when they were at a Quidditch match just rang a bell in my mind.
#68837
In a rare display of genre savviness, this troper knew that Mr. Crepsley from {{The Saga of Darren Shan}} was going to die as soon as she read the first book.
#68838
When the fifth ''HitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy'' novel came out, with it's KillEmAll ending, this troper told anyone who would listen that the only think that could counteract the Bird's temporal reverse engineering was an infinite improbability field. He said it again when the radio version came out with an AuthorsSavingThrow that didn't work. (If the babel fish could do that, the Bird would simply have gone back in time and given Arthur a reason to remove it.) To the best of this troper's recollection, Eoin Colfer wasn't one of the people he said it to.
#68839
This Troper had a particularly strange experience with FushigiYugi. The character of Nuriko was revealed, in her first appearance, to be a woman and a Celestial Guardian. Somehow, when it later revealed her to be a man, ThisTroper was utterly unsurprised by the fact, having believed it to have been revealed already. What ''did'' surprise him was that he was a Celestial Guardian, despite it having been referred to many times!
#68840
Early on during {{Lost}}'s run, when Locke's father was revealed to be a asshole who would con his son out of a kidney, this troper wondered if he was guy who conned Sawyer's parents out of their money. True, and gave Sawyer a much needed CrowningMomentOfAwesome near the end of S3.
#68841
Above troper was very much not alone. Another popular theory was that Jack was Claire's half-brother, which also turned out to be true.
#68842
This troper knew who the BigBad for Season 6 of ''BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' would be halfway through the first episode.
#68843
In ''{{Chuck}}'' the first time Orion popped up, this troper guessed it would turn out to be Chuck and Ellie's father...it was.
#68844
''{{Dollhouse}}'': This troper wasn't the only one who suspected that Mellie was an Active. Oddly enough, I thought it had been {{Jossed}} when Adelle sent an assassin after Mellie... except that, what do you know, that was the very development that led to it being confirmed.
#68845
ThisTroper predicted that Mr. Dominic would turn out to be a spy midway through the second episode.
#68846
ThisTroper and several friends heard that Alan Tudyk was going to be on the show and, since the second episode just came out, our initial thought process was that he would play Alpha. Later on, when we heard he was playing "the designer of the Dollhouse", suspicion stopped. And then: "Briar Rose".
#68847
This Troper guessed two things about Double. The first was that would get a new memory(Fang) and that was a Sonozaki. Then guess what was revealed in the movie and arcs? I've been saying the former since the start of the show. The second the end of the [[spoiler:Fang arc is subbed, I will be laughing my ass off like the person who guessed the gender of A-Squad Red.
#68848
That's nothing. This Troper made [=WMGs=] saying that Nazca would come back and that Shroud was the one who sent Narumi to save Phillip early on in the run (the former made right after "''Farewell, N''" and the latter was made some time after "''Beyond R''") and cashed in big.
#68849
This troper guessed that Epsilon, an AI from ''RedVsBlue'' who was supposedly dead, was in fact alive. My friend said this was impossible due to a scene rom recovery One, I then spent an entire day after Chapter 15 of Reconstruction saying I was right.
#68850
This troper told people over and over that the Leaf Village supported Naruto since the chuunin exams, but no one agreed until the recent canon literally said it.
#68851
Before ''OVA3'' was announced and without any access to any of the Word of God materials, this troper came to the conclusion that the easiest thing for Tenchi to do would be to just follow his great-grandfather's example and marry all the girls. And, well, you know...
#68852
This Troper managed to successfully predict that Subaru would:
#68853
Be forced to fight her sister Ginga.
#68854
Develop a close friendship with Teana.
#68855
Get to use ''both'' Revolver Knuckles together at once.
#68856
Furthermore, I made the predictions ''before'' the first episode even aired.
#68857
''{{Clannad}}'': When ''~After Story~'' 21 came out, this troper was telling all her friends who knew about ''Clannad'' that "Unlike the Toei movie, I bet KyoAni would adapt another(true) ending." (having played the VisualNovel) None of them believed her, and when episode 22 rolled around...
#68858
ThisTroper predicted that Luffy from ''OnePiece'' was a budding ladies man in spite of being a ChasteHero ever since she first started reading the manga. Her main basis was that he's not only strong, but charming and friendly, and she had just finished AvatarTheLastAirbender where the titular character with a kind of similar personality to Luffy was popular with girls even though he was young and short. Imagine her screams of laughter and righteous validation when the [[AllAmazonsWantHercules Kuja amazons went crazy for him.]]
#68859
This troper successfully guessed since the beginning of the war that Pacifista would be at the battle at Marineford.
#68860
ThisTroper read a FanFiction where Luffy uses his [[{{Kiai}} Haoushoku Haki to save his brother at the execution platform just as the executioners were going to slice off his head.]] Guess what happened in Chapter 569!
#68861
This troper's response to the impossibly spoiler-iffic reveal in ''RahXephon'' that Reika Mishima was really a god/alien taking the approximate form of Ayato's disappeared middle-school girlfriend, Haruka Mishima/Shitow, to more easily lead him to his fate as an instrumentalist? "I FUCKING CALLED IT!"
#68862
Prior to Honjo's death in Ai Yazawa's {{NANA}}, this troper casually toyed with the idea that said character's drug usage was merely a red herring for what was probably going to be a terribly ironic death. "An overdose seems too obvious given the Sid & Nancy undertones; she'll probably just him by car crash." Guess what happened a few chapters down the road?
#68863
A week before Batista's HeelFaceTurn happened, this troper realized how Triple H was setting Dave up (playing the Smackdown contenders' videos before promo time) and why (so Dave would go to Smackdown and Trips could continue his reign unopposed). It was fairly obvious -- it ''is'' ProfessionalWrestling after all -- but she was proud of herself anyway when Hunter revealed his XanatosGambit.
#68864
This troper personally called two of the biggest wrestling surprises of the modern day, in seeing Shawn Michaels turning on Hulk Hogan as happening just before the match started while deciding Edge was going to cash in on John Cena when he did about a month before the show.
#68865
This troper guessed months in advance, due to a hint dropped in an issue of [=EGM=], that ''SoulCalibur IV'' would feature ''StarWars'' guest characters. He was promptly ridiculed on the [=IGN=] forums.
#68866
ThisTroper used to roleplay on a ''{{Castlevania}}'' message board, portraying the BonusBoss Galamoth from ''Symphony of the Night''. Based on his stated "plans to rule the Netherworld" in that game and ''Kid Dracula'', and his soul's purpose in ''Aria of Sorrow'' being related to time, he devised a scheme where he could become the dark lord by changing history. This plan's criteria was foiled before it even began, but he has referenced the idea in some of his other writing. So when the premise of ''{{Castlevania}} Judgment'' was revealed...
#68867
During the wait for the ''TalesOfSymphonia'' sequel, previews showed the main character of the last game apparently turned evil. This troper kept trying to convince friends that the Tales series is well-known for things not being what they seem, and they should wait and see before making judgments. Guess who had the last laugh?
#68868
When the first trailers from ''Xenosaga'' were launched, this troper said "I am certain that the last episode will be called "Also sprach Zarathustra" with Zarathustra as the bigbad/macguffin/lastboss, possibly the three and the etheral red head is Elly (or her expy) and Fei/Fei-Expy will have a role to play" damn I'm good
#68869
This troper is ''still'' gloating over the fact that she was proved right about Hector being the one and only BigBad in the ''DeptHeaven'' series. Especially because her insisting so turned a large portion of the FanDumb against her.
#68870
This troper had an insane theory fairly early in ''HenryHatsworthInThePuzzlingAdventure'' that [[{{Sidekick}} Cole would turn out to be Weasleby, due to his machine skills]] which turned out to be completely right.
#68871
This troper believed that Eggman Nega and Blaze the Cat were from both the future and an alternate dimension. Word of God has validated my insane beliefs!
#68872
Prior to the announcement of the PlayStation3, this troper believed Koei wasn't through with releasing more of their Warrior games for the PlayStation2. While it was more than confirmed {{Dynasty Warriors}}6 will be on the PS3, he predicted a MassiveMultiplayerCrossover scenario between the "Dynasty" and "Samurai" characters into one single game, with the setup that some Chinese or Japanese deity tosses them into a single world for all-out brawl-fest. Cue the announcement of WarriorsOrochi, with much {{Squee}} from Koei fans.
#68873
This Troper, sometime after finishing Soul Reaver, predicted on a large messageboard dedicated to the series that Raziel was the soul in the Reaver based upon some dialogue and the fact of how it actually broke. This Troper was mocked off the boards in shame at the time. When finally vindicated, very few people remembered.
#68874
ThisTroper had a feeling that Zoe and Dirge from ''{{Xombie}}'' are related somehow, and lo and behold, he may likely be right!
#68875
Upon being shown a picture of Sheik just before Ocarina Of Time came out, this Troper asked if that was Zelda.
#68876
Lucky. I didn't believe Sheik wasn't a dude right up until is encased in crystal. Not even with the big reveal. I thought that was just a trick.
#68877
In a related vein, this troper was convinced that [[spoiler:Midna]] was the real TwilightPrincess from very early on.
#68878
After watching several videos by {{Moviebob}} and hearing him complain over and over about the ''Transformers Film Series'', once referring to it as "One of the worst films of the fucking decade", this troper guessed (as a joke, mind you) that he would call it "One of the worst films of the '''century'''" at some point. He not only called it that, but somehow called the ''original'' movie that while reviewing the ''sequel''. For extra marks, this troper also correctly guessed how he would rate the sequel.
#68879
This troper said this recently in ''ElGoonishShive'' when a certain theory about Catalina Bobcat was canonized, mainly that she's attracted to Susan.
#68880
This troper would like to state that she theorised that would go insane over [[FreudianExcuse mommy issues in season 3.]] of Avatar, The Last Airbender.
#68881
This troper also believed since before season 3 began that would go insane during the finale, though he was wrong in thinking that it would be related to [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity Sozin's Comet]]
#68882
And this troper was compeletely certain that Pakku and Kanna would get together one more time.
#68883
And this troper had long theorized that was a fifth element (spirit/soul/aether) that only the Avatar could control. However, I did ''not'' think of it being used [[PowerNullifier that way.]]
#68884
I often wondered if Zuko could be descended from Avatar Roku...]]
#68885
Was there any evidence he was?
#68886
None whatsoever. Which didn't stop this troper from guessing it, too - during season 1. Admittedly, this was because she had just started watching, ''had Roku's name mixed up'', and was under the impression that the two character's names ''rhymed'' - which in many cartoons would have been a sign that were directly related. She was right about the conclusion - but what led her to it was nothing but her lousy name-memory acting up!
#68887
This editor was dead on the money with his prediction that Bonnie and Señor Senior Junior would hook up in the fourth season of ''KimPossible''.
#68888
This Troper guessed the secret of Hank and Dean midway through the first season.
#68889
A few friends and I were watching the ''Dr. Tran'' video series on Youtube. Upon loading the episode 'The Furious Little Cinnamon Bun' and noting it was censored, one of my friends quipped "Censored for Youtube? What, does a giant penis fall out of the sky?"
#68890
This troper strongly suspected that in TheSecretSaturdays, Zak was Kur. When this was confirmed in the second season finale the feeling of satisfaction was unbelievable.
#68891
Way back in the day, this troper recalls a discussion with someone who very convincingly argued that it was Maggie shot Mr. Burns.
#68892
Billy West's voice tipped this Troper's brother off that Lars was actually Fry from the future or another universe while watching ''Bender's Big Score''
#68893
This Troper knew that killing floor's "Money Talking" would be destined for memetic mutation.
#68894
When the fifth ''HitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy'' novel came out, with it's KillEmAll ending, this troper told anyone who would listen that the only thing that could counteract the Bird's temporal reverse engineering was an infinite improbability field.
#68895
This troper found himself correct in thinking that Xion in KingdomHearts 358/2 Days was memory of Sora that was eventually absorbed and thus [[RetGone forgotten]] based on the trailer of Namine talking about fragmented memories and the fact that Xion never showed up in Roxas' flashbacks during KHII, which meant: DoomedByCanon. I kid you not. However, most details outside of that (e.g. gender), I was not completely accurate on guessing.
#68896
Near the beginning of Mass Effect 2, I correctly guessed that the Collectors were actually the Protheans. I also have three other theories that I'm hanging on to, but we'll have to wait until Mass Effect 3 before I find out if I'm right or not on those.
#68897
This Troper was reading the fourth book of the fourth series of WarriorCats. You know, the one with the huge battle with every single clan? When Hollyleaf figured out that Half of what ThunderClan fought for was technically against the Warrior Code, I said to myself: "Okay, she's going to go insane. Guess what? Two books later, she did. I KNEW IT!!
#68898
This troper was also reading a WarriorCats book, ''[=SkyClan's=] Destiny''. I knew that was going to die. And I was right!
#68899
Edward is a vampire!
#68900
It says so on the back cover. Not much of a spoiler.
#68901
This Troper has been able to predict quite a few things about LOST over time. During the break before the final season she had said that the first episode of the season would begin with Jack sitting on the plane, before it crashes. He would talk to Rose, etc. and the scene would continue through the point the turbulence was supposed to start. Not quite, but close.
#68902
She also predicted on the night before the second episode that they, "couldn't just get rid of Charlie like that! They can't just say, "Oh, he's in jail now," and forget about him!" She then went on to say that Liam should show up at the police station to try and get Charlie out or something like that. As of Recon, her prediction came true.
#68903
Edit: She just finished watching the latest episode of FlashForward. Back at the beginning she guessed that Suspect Zero was Simon Campos. She was just proved right!
#68904
This troper has been saying for years that his hometown of Westport, CT is full of evil. Marvel Comics agrees with that as Westport, CT is listed as the home for the largest dummy corporation for the terrorist organization HYDRA. It all makes sense now.
#68905
When {{Ben 10}}'s original series was still airing, the episode, "Ghostfreaked Out", it was obvious from the titles and commercials that Ghostfreak was going to be the villain, my sister said that it was "Some other Ectonurite.", not helped by the description of the episode on TV, and we couldn't find any info about the episode, when the episode finally aired, I literally yelled "I KNEW IT!".
#68906
When the GreenGoblin came back in SpectacularSpiderman season 2, I figured that this wasn't Harry on a relapse pretty early on, leaving Norman Osborn the only logical choice for the new identity. About three episodes prior to the season finale, I noted that Norman is the kind of bastard to put the blame on his own kid, just to save his sorry hide and probably was the Goblin the first time around too. Weisman maybe predictable in his need to use a twist, but he still did it better than I thought.
#68907
You know how Kirby stole Meta Knight's armor and sword to escape in ThereWillBeBrawl? 2}} I saw it, due to having thought perhaps a bit too much than is healthy about how to make sure a person is dead (the safest way appears to be chop off the head, crush the cranium, then burn it and the dismembered body separately) and had put up a WMG to that effect by the end of the episode).
#68908
Whenever I watch CSI:NY, I would guess who the killer is. If I got it right, I would go to my mum's room and triumphly say "I KNEW X was the killer!"
#68909
When I first heard about the Legendary Trio of Generation 4-before the games were out in Japan-I read about Uxie's memory-wipe powers, and deduced that they were triggered by seeing its eyes.
#68910
This troper already thought Syrup and Urara would make a simply adorable CrackPairing from the first full episodes she saw of ''[=GoGo=]''. Cue episode 18.
#68911
This troper gets frustrated with people not believing him when he claims he knew it on an almost regular basis. (Or alternatively, they suspect him of having read {{Spoiler}}s when he honestly didn't). Even if he HAD mentioned that theory before, by the time the truth is revealed no one seems to remember it. It's even gone so far he doesn't bother trying anymore in many cases.
#68912
This happens a lot to me, but two cases are particularly noteworthy. One is that after six seasons of ''BuffyTheVampireSlayer'', I figured out Joss Whedon's gimmicks, to the point that I successfully predicted that the final season's villain was baddie who'd appeared in a single episode years earlier and had been forgotten about ever since--and I guessed the right baddie, too! The other was when I read ''TheGiver'' for class and immediately realized the characters who were ReleasedToElsewhere were, well, released to elsewhere--and I didn't realize it was supposed to be a twist. I used the fact that people were being executed for minor things as an argument that the society depicted was pretty deeply messed up, and the teacher pulled me aside and said I wasn't supposed to know about that yet.
#68913
This troper was watching Mulan 2 in class, and after Sahne told the 3 princesses and warriors (forgot their names), she said "They're going to disobey in 3, 2, 1", and on one, guess what happened? did.
#68914
Somehow, while writing a {{Continuation}} SlashFic of Pokemon, this troper predicted several facts about the upcoming {{Pokemon}} Black and White games: ## Their game color ## The region's name (sorta) and general map layout ## At least three of the new Pokemon (including two of the starters!) ## The fact that battles weren't going to be the focus of the series. Needless to say, he's afraid to write anymore on the fic, for fear of prophesying the entire games.
#68915
When Shaw was introduced in season 3 of {{Chuck}}, this troper immediately thought that he would [[DeathOfTheHypotenuse die and/or turn evil before the end of the season, if only to be removed as a potential love interest for Sarah.]] He thought quite right.
#68916
This Troper pulled off one with Harry Potter, although his sister and mother insist he never actually said it (I did: it was about two weeks after the sixth book's release. I have a very long memory compared to most of my family...). I said to both of them something along the lines of (spoilered for those who haven't read the series yet) "must be Sirius' brother, Regulus!" They didn't believe me. As anyone who has read the seventh book will know, I was right!
#68917
This troper and her family have been watching {{Charmed}} from the beginning with the magic of Season [=DVDs=]. The second appeared, I yelled "[[spoiler: it has to be Piper's kid! It just has to!. My sister called me insane. Who has two thumbs and was right? This girl!
#68918
This troper and a couple friends were watching NoCountryForOldMen and wondering how Chigurh was able to follow Llewelyn so well when a friend joked, has a money tracker!" Close enough.
#68919
This troper watched Toy Story 3 in the cinema and knew instinctly that the little girl was foreshadowing the end and that every of andy's toys would somehow end up with her.
#68920
This Troper and her sister, after watching the world premiere of ''CampRock'' in 2008, noted Disney's love of follow-up movies. We then said that Disney would devise a sequel in which the Camp Rock residents would have an over-the-top competition against a rival camp across the lake (in which we jokingly dubbed "Camp Bach"). We must be freakin' ''psychics''.
#68921
This Troper has what is known in her family as her I knew it! dance. She's done it several times in regard to Harry Potter, as well as Buffy. An unnerving number of her theories have come to pass in various shows and books.
#68922
In anticipation of WeirdAlYankovic's upcoming thirteenth album, one of my immediate thoughts was "what are the odds of the term 'polka face' showing up?" If live performances are any indication, that's ''the actual name'' of his next polka.
#68923
When this troper read A Seperate Peace in English class, she was sure from the start of the book that Gene and Finny were gay for each other even though her teacher denied it. Also, a different teacher, before the last HarryPotter book came out, told me that she firmly believed Snape was a good guy and his killing Dumbledore was planned.
#68924
This troper had a minor one while watching {{Inception}}. I called that Arthur and Ariadne would have some sort of romantic thing when they met. Apparently, I can sense chemistry well. (Shh, I know it was a FakeOutMakeOut) The rest of the plot was not in the least predictable.
#68925
Don't know if this counts (or, for that matter, if it belongs on the main page), but when {{Okami}} was released everyone immediately assumed that the idea of a "genderless" Amaterasu was {{Blatant Lies}} and gave the character the mythology-accurate female gender. Most reasonable people labeled this {{Self Fanservice}}. Cue release of {{Bayonetta}} (by the same director if you didn't know) and the included {{Shout Out}}. This troper broke the news to one of the fan sites.
#68926
This troper seemed to be the only one who proposed that the NintendoDS ability to download demos was the key for a one-way transfer of [=~Pokémon~=] from Generation IV games to the upcoming [=~Pokémon Black and White~=] games. This was back in April when compatability was confirmed.
#68927
This troper completely called Rick Castle's middle name in her fic ''When It Comes To Shooting Stars'', published weeks before "He's Dead, She's Dead" aired.
#68928
This troper guessed a surprising amount of the ending of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga from, actually, watching the first anime. Even though the anime had branched off into its own plot, I noticed that too many of the key points met. It had seemed like, rather then give the anime writers completely free reign, Arakawa had instead said "This is point A. This is point B. I don't care how you connect them. Have fun." So that Ed would lose his alchemy? Called it. Heck, I even suspected before then that something would happen to Mustang's sight. (Though I wouldn't have guessed going completely blind.) Among a few other points. And no one believed me.
#68929
This Troper called something in response to a JBM in QuestionableContent. That with all the shit coming down on Marten via Dora and Faye, that'd he'd bottle it up and then explode, because not even the nicest nice guys can take all that shit and keep it down for long. Then a few weeks later it happened.
#68930
This Troper knew Legacy}} Rinzler was actually the moment she heard him speak. The fact that the {{Tron}} level of [[{{Kingdom Hearts}} Kingdom Hearts II was her favorite probably helped the voice recognition. Really not much of a surprise, but she was still very proud of herself.
#68931
Same with This Troper and being the last ISO.
#68932
As soon as appeared in SeikimatsuOccultGakuin, This Troper immediately said [[spoiler:either she's dead by the end of the episode, or she's evil. Still alive at the end of the episode. Near the end of the series, it's revealed that, well...
#68933
While not exactly a straight version of the trope, This Troper and his friend were once discussing a fanfic idea for a 14th Cycle of Battle in the Dissidia universe, and just so we had more than enough warriors, we brought in Sora and Riku (among others) for the Cosmos side, with Xemnas and Xehanort's Heartless being their Chaos counterparts. When the trailer for KingdomHearts3D appeared, Riku encountered Xehanort's Heartless and Sora encountered Xemnas in Traverse Town.
#68934
From the very first time we caught a glimpse of Resha Valentine in ''RaveMaster'', this editor knew was really Elie pre-LaserGuidedAmnesia, about ''twenty volumes'' before TheReveal.
#68935
This troper seems to be pretty GenreSavvy, as she correctly guessed three things that would happen in the plot of a julekalender that aired this December. Also, while watching the dub version of ''Stitch'', she figured that in the dub the only logical explaination for Stitch leaving Lilo would be because Lilo had left for college, and given Stitch permission to travel around on his own so he wouldn't be bored without her around. Turns out that Stitch did in fact leave Hawaii after Lilo went off to college.
#68936
This troper remembers sitting bolt upright in bed one night because while trying to sleep she was daydreaming and correctly identified the characters of the Disreputable Dog and Mogget from the OldKingdom books as one of the Seven (specifically number Four, Kibeth) and the Eighth, respectively.
#68937
this troper watches mystery shows with her family- psych, castle, Sherlock, NCIS... and during the ads, she usually calls something- it's not his girlfriend, it's his daughter, susan isn't really dead, the wife's behind it all, and so on. onces, she called every single twist in an episode of NCIS that her parents jokingly accused her of writing the episode.
#68938
Before ''358/2 Days'' and ''Birth By Sleep'' were released, This Troper was scrambling the names of Organization XIII members from ''{{Kingdom Hearts}}'', in her head, and figured out that Axel's orignal name had been [[spoiler:Lea]].
#68939
Whilst watching "The Impossible Astronaut", she also (jokingly) guessed that thing that Amy had to tell the Doctor was that she was pregnant. Bingo.
#68940
This troper's mother did this when watching Snow White for the first time in many years. Snow White asked "How do you do?", and this troper's mother asked (to no one in particular), "How do I do WHAT?" a split second before grumpy said it. She said she honestly did not remember that part. This troper laughed, and of course responded with "You called it!"
#68941
Same troper, who had one herself. She was watching the Cyanide and Happiness short "The Man Who Could Sit Anywhere" with her brother. At the end of the short, a man goes into the chair store the man who could sit anywhere was in before and makes a delivery from the comfortable-ass-man. This troper said, "It's his ass," and when I was revealed to be correct, I immediately delivered a "Knew it!"
#68942
This Troper's first three [=WMGs=] for MadokaMagica (Each one of them embodies one trope: DownerEnding, KarmaHoudini, and DeconReconSwitch respectively) were ''right''.
#68943
The moment the opening narration for the Series/DoctorWho episode "Cold Blood" ended, first thought was "oh, Rory's going to die."
#68944
Kogasa.]] ''Ten Desires.'' I called it somewhat jokingly.
#68945
This troper actually predicted Snake's presence in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Once he was confirmed, Sonic was even more obvious.
#68946
I knew the Doctor was going to create his own Ganger when he felt the Flesh in ''The Rebel Flesh''.
#68947
This Troper was watching a stream of Portal 2. When Wheatley made the comment on the humans he was taking care of, she had a horrible feeling that he was going to betray Chell somehow at one point of the game. It was made worse with this quote. When [[FaceHeelTurn he actually did so]], she actually wrote the following in the stream chat: I knew it. I KNEW IT. I FLIPPING KNEW IT.
#68948
Not long after watching The Boiling Rock, I thought that it would make a cool fanfic if Azula had a VillainousBreakdown after Ty Lee and Mai betrayed her. Guess what happened.
#68949
This troper's theories about River Song's identity have all been right so far, the only things wrong: We don't know if the astronaut who killed the Doctor is her for sure, and I thought that it was possible that she was the Doctor's daughter. Which would have ''so many'' Oedipal implications in combination, in retrospect...
#68950
This troper seems to have a track record when it comes to predicting FUNimation's anime acquistitions: So far he guessed right ''PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt'', ''IsThisAZombie'', ''SteinsGate'', and ''DeadmanWonderland''.
#68951
