This troper likes to theme name groups of Pokemon, particularly related ones- for instance Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf were named "Brains", "Heart", and "Nerve" respectively- not just a reference to Main/TheWizardOfOz but also what those Pokemon actually stand for. It's very common for the hostnames of computers on a LAN to have a naming theme. Theme Naming seems to follow me no matter where I go. The first example is that my name, and both of my parents names, all start with D. My older sister was spared from this, but both of us are named after respectively our mother and father. My sister only got my moms middle name as a middle name, I got my dad's entire name. I'm changing it when I get the cash to change my middle and/or last name since my dad remarried into a family where I now have an uncle who goes by the shortened form of my name.

Characters in a recent RPG I made each have names based on a character from the game they get their powers from. Examples include Neku, Haruka Hunta, and David Redgrave to name a few. Theme naming extends to the real user of the Kingdom Hearts based one, but not the current one(his twin).

I was writing up a Sentai fic and decided to give each character a surname from toku or anime. I soon realized the guys last names all started with K and everyone's first name has an A in it. All eight. I got bored and decided to change some names around so that they all had K last names. It doesn't help its called ''K''inenger.

This Troper's last name also starts with an 'S'.

Two ''KingdomHearts'' [=OCs=]. Tori, the tomboyish type had her keyblades that looked like cars (Due to her being able to attack with both sides, eg double teethed). Thus her keyblades were named after car models or companies. So they were stuff like Fiat, Reventon, Espada, Civic, Vibe, Sierra, etc. The other, Brian, was a nerdy bookworm dude so they were named after DoorStopper books/series or just famous ones. Like say War and Peace, Brave Story, Wheel of Time, Great Expectations, The Witcher, etc.

This troper's current d20 modern campaign has all the antagonists named after a color. It started as a shorthand two of them before they were named, one being the red oni the other being blue, it stuck then expanded to include every other character.

This troper knows three siblings who's initials are all CWB and the sum of the letters of their given names all total to 11.

The SUV in front of her had those little stick figure decals that tell people how big your family is on the rear window; this family had four girls and one baby boy. The names listed under the kids' stick figures went, going from left to right: Matti, Minni, Molli, Merri, Miles. The last is a borderline OddNameOut, considering how difficult it is to come up with a boy's name that follows the "M-vowel-double consonant-I" pattern.

I know someone named Jerry who has mentioned frequently going to clubs with his friend Tom. This might not sound like theme naming at first, but as he pointed out, when you and your friend introduce yourselves as TomAndJerry, people seem to be a little skeptical.

This troper has a case of accidental theme naming going on with her cats. One, my family named Elliot just because we liked the name. The second one was named Kelso, after Micheal Kelso. Schol-R-LEA: In one place I worked I was given free rein to choose the machine names for three groups of ten computers each. The first group I gave them the names of composers (Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, etc.) and the second, inventors (Tesla, Franklin, Edison, etc.). The third group, however, I noticed wasn't used much... so I decided to play a bit of a joke.
