TokenEvilTeammate

Completely inverted in this troper's D&D party. My character is the Token GOOD Teammate. All the other people in the party are either evil (as in, "burning down villages for no reason evil") or unaligned (read that as "doesn't really care, but isn't adverse to burning down villages if it profits them"). It's a bit of a running joke for us to question "But she's a GOOD character! Why the hell is she even in the party?!"

Ah, good times. You complain now, but at the time you were quite willing to sacrifice yourself by being swallowed by a giant squid.

This troper is this for her {{nakama}}, and esspecially to Daimon, who is a NiceGuy and most of the rest of us find rather fun to torment. Before you call the police, the 'abuse' was decided between us ages ago, an is completley with his knowlege and agreement. It's closer to a RunningGag than truly malicious.

Ho boy. I love these in Roblox and Aqworlds... I bribe them to being on my side, then duel and destroy them...

This troper IS this for her group of friends. Despite having cynical friends who are slightly more evil than neutral, when this trope or "chaotic neutral/evil" come up, she gets accusatory glances from the entire table. They're not wrong. But it's still mildly offensive. So what if I hate children and wish death upon stupid people? So what if I wouldn't mind robbing a bank just for the hell of it? So what if I wish death on all ignorant, stupid, assholes who make no effort to better themselves? ("I thought Canada was part of the United States. Isn't that like, the 52nd state?" "KILL YOURSELF.") She's not harming them. She likes them most of the time. I just don't see the problem.

This troper had a character in a game of D&D - a drow rogue/assassin named Iymbryn d'Rilynval (roughly 'immortal assassin of the house of the silken weaver' in drow) who was exactly what her name would indicate - however, she ended up being TheCorruptor to the rest of her party, who soon ended up just as bad or ''worse'' than Iymbryn.

This Troper is (jokingly) seen as this in his voice acting team due to his Deep EvilLaugh, abundance of villainous roles and the fact that I'm British. Ironically, in RealLife, I've been described word-for-word as TheHeart of the team and I recognise fully that I'd be the most HarmlessVillain ever on account of my StupidGood tendencies.

I am the opposite of some of the previous tropers. I appear to be the straight man of the group, the stoic, etc as well as standing by my friends when needed. Truth be told I will sell them down the river when it suits me and I view each and every single one of them as weak, expendable and at the best of times a way to use up spare time.

Oh my, aren't you all dangerous and evil. I bet you're really scary and not in any way totally self-deluded.

This troper has been called this to his friends in high school, due to me being basically Izaya if you mess with those people I care about. I derive a certain enjoyment from watching someone who has slighted my friends or family squirm, and that's the truth. If you want to be a manipulative person, an important trait is to always tell the truth, but to twist it. Just a little, with the right words. That is why I am putting this on here so bluntly and honestly. Because you don't know who I am or what I am looking for, and that is another truth. I do deeply care for my friends, but if you mess with them, I mess with you. You do not want me messing with you. Okay, so lets all be friends, 'kay? :)

A story I have, has a group who technically are the villains, cause they want to open up a hell-hole, but believe it or not, most of them are in on the plan for what they think are noble intentions. They're good, normal people making bad descisions. Then there's Whammy...has no interest in the hell-hole. He's only on their side cause he wants to get at a girl who lives in the town where the hell-hole is and probably rape her. Everything he does is for his own benefit, unlike everyone else in the team who're trying to help other people, although they're doing it in the wrong way. He'd gladly slice a team-mate up if they got in his way. He's pretty much a sadistic psychopath, while everyone else are just very, very misguided.

Another Real Life Example: This troper for her group of friends. Most of my friends fall under the True Neutral or Neutral Good umbrellas. One friend is slightly... different. This troper lies on the far end of Chaotic Neutral, close to the border of Chaotic Evil. Like an above example, whenever this trope comes up, pointed stares are thrown my way. Whenever something morally ambiguous must be done, I get those looks. Example: #QUOTE# '''Friend 1''': God, we're going to be in so much trouble. #QUOTE# ''' Friend 2 ''': No, no, no. Everybody calm down. We can think of a way out of this. #QUOTE# '''Friend 3''': We just need a story, that's all. #QUOTE# '''Friend 1''': Like...an elaborate lie? Who could lie well enough to make up a story for '''this'''? #QUOTE# '''Everyone''': *stares in this troper's direction.* #QUOTE# '''Me''': I was waiting for everyone to come to this conclusion. I already have a cover story. Just...stand behind me, try not to look suspicious, and don't speak unless spoken to. Even then, if you can divert all questions to me, that would be recommended since none of you can lie for shit.

I'm a NiceGuy in real life, but I jokingly present myself as one of these online by playing up how I treat fiction. I think the killer run of ''{{Iji}}'' is ''GurrenLagann'' levels of CrazyAwesome and have made fun of it, I think ''NanasEverydayLife'' is a funny DeadBabyComedy, and my favourite character in ''CaveStory'' is the Doctor, I'm just not a CompleteMonster in real life. I just like to forget that part when I'm online.

A character in this tropers RP was a childish sociopath with absolutely no regard for human life. He joined the good guys simply because he wanted to be on the winning side, and because he wanted to be a HeroicSociopath so he could get away with his actions. It...doesn't work. Most of the other characters are terrified of him and the rest hate him. Even the thread's protagonist (an AntiHero) only keeps him around because of his intellect and stealth abilities. In the thread's spin-off, the character's mind completely collapsed, causing his FaceHeelTurn, in which he used his knowledge to kill off the other characters systematically. He was murdered just after a HeelFaceTurn because of his prior crimes.

@/{{Jinjoman}} is a (somewhat) mild example of this compared to most of his peers/friends.
