Two guys in the choirs at my high school. Each one (like me) is in every choir in the school except Women's Choir, and they sit next to each other in each choir and at lunch. In our school's production of GuysAndDolls, they played Nicely-Nicely Johnson and Benny Southstreet.

This troper and his younger brother fit this trope nicely. I am the nerdy, smart, quiet one, while he is the cool, outgoing, goofy one. He's still really smart, I'm just the one who flaunts it more. And up until he got his driver's license (and even after that) we did almost everything together.

I tend to buddy up with with guys who have a boyish, more approachable charm, which offsets my stern-faced stoicism which some find intimidating. It can also rub off on me, but not to the point where the contrast between us isn't noticeable. Though I appear to be the serious one, I'm usually the one to come up with the crazy stunts.

This troper knows a certain duo of helpers at school who've been there since I was 7 or 8, and I'm now 16. They are often referred to as the big brothers of the school. While not always together per se (authorities want at least one to be available at all times) the two are usually referred to as a set; and they don't particularly mind.

This troper's been one of the Two Guys. We were the only single men in our circle of friends, which basicly lead to us spending more time together, as the couples would unsurprisingly want to spend most of their weekends alone. It went to the point where I'd see a familiar face on the street, and the first question would always be "Where's Bob?".

We had no classes together but were always seen together outside of class, had opposite appearances, and decided we were "soul sisters." Friend A and I are in the same class at school and we always sit together and spend most of class either talking about yaoi or yuri or drawing and messing around. She is an artist and I am extremely creative so this led to us making a webcomic together. This troper has two friends who are almost invariably seen together, talking about the latest video games. One is a DeadpanSnarker and the other one is TheQuietOne and a Cloudcuckoolander.

This troper is most certainly one of Those Two Girls, down to being a minor background character. She and her other friend are always together, share the same geeky interests that are foreign to most of the rest of the class, get confused with one another as the two short, short-haired girls, and occasionally drop in on the conversations of more extroverted members of the class, but never without our own weird banter. Not to mention, the fact that neither of us has much of a social life makes our significance rather suspect.

Seems to be mandatory in every school and class I´ve ever been. I probably was part of one of those, too but already a little while ago. I also was during a class trip in a room with two guys who behaved like this and adressed them always in plural (unconciously of course). When they realised this I explained this trope to them and they laughed probably because they realized it just now.
