Not really yours truly per se, but a random example from me because I don't know where it'd fit on the main page: this is one of the hair options in this Doll Divine dress-up game.
#107285
This troper was once able to actually tuck her hair into her skirt or sit on it by accident. She finally cut it to chin-length, and it has now grown up to past her shoulders.
#107286
Me. And I can tell you, I'm cutting it as soon as I can. Because not only is it heavy, it gets caught on everything and other people pull it a lot.
#107287
Hey, at least you can. Some of us like it that way, but our hair stopped growing already.
#107288
Or is technically still growing but starts forming proto-dreadlocks when it gets past this troper's shoulder blades.
#107289
Arrrgh, I ''hate'' that. I think my hair would look really good long, but once it gets to about that length, it starts getting all tangled and breaking when I comb it.
#107290
Me too! I want to get my hair cut like Idina Menzel but it still will not go much past my shoulders!
#107291
This troper has successfully pulled her hair in front of her breasts to cover her nudity. She's working on getting hair long enough for the full version of this trope. Though no one ever mentions that at this point, leaning over to get a drink of water, to spit out a mouthful of toothpaste, or to pick up a bowl of soup inevitably leads to wet and dirty hair.
#107292
This troper's hair was once long enough that it bordered on prehensile in high winds if it wasn't tied back, tending to snag on things, get caught in her mouth, or cover her eyes. "TruthInTelevision", my ass...
#107293
This troper, a guy, used to wear his hair long, generally in a ponytail, and so suffered all of the above. Nowadays he still wears it medium-long, but only in a rounded shape he trims back when it gets shoulder-length. (I really miss that look, but the hair is just too thin-bodied to handle that kind of stress, and I start to look like I'm going bald. Eeeewgh.)
#107294
This (also male) troper has hair currently most of the way down his neck, and is growing it out for a few months, in order for it to settle back into ringlets instead of a slightly curly dangling mass.
#107295
This (yet again) male troper had a mowhawk down to the middle of his back in high school but fried it with bleach and Manic Panic. It's never gotten that long again. In fact, now I just shave my head. It saves me a ton of time and money.
#107296
This Troper (male) used to have long hair that grew more than halfway down my back, which I originally grew to play the role of Salieri from ''Amadeus'' in high school. I used to wear it with 2 elastics to keep it together, or plait it into a braid for formal occasions, and picked up Teletha Testarossa's habit of tickling my mouth with the end of it. Unfortunately, my hair was actually ''totally unsuited'' to growing long as it's naturally curly and got into HORRIBLE knots, as well as catching on my brush and getting ripped out whenever I brushed it. After persevering with it for more than 7 years, I eventually caved in and cut it off.
#107297
This troper has a (female) friend with excessively long, fine red hair. She usually has it tied back, but stay the hell away from her when she dances. It'll reach out and strangle you while she happily DDRs away.
#107298
No one also mentions the fine coating of shed hair all over the carpet and the gigantic hairballs that ''will'' form in the shower drain. Which you then have to remove. Sometimes by hand.
#107299
This troper's stated goal in life is to grow hair so long that he must buy slave girls to carry it off the ground behind him as he walks.
#107300
This female troper has pretty long hair (it's down to my hips when wet and would probably be longer if I quit dyeing it!) and doesn't find it particularly invasive. She abhors the thought of scissors coming near her beloved locks...
#107301
Whereas this troper has this hair, down to almost my hips, and is getting a @#$! haircut. Not to mention that it's *bushy*, so it gets BIG, and greasy like a @#$! sheep- I'm lucky I haven't hacked it off myself yet. I'm sure whoever buy it will like it- Locks For Love, y'all.
#107302
As a girl this troper wanted feet-length hair, and got it down to her knees before her mother declared she was no longer taking care of it, and insisted it be cut in half. But it's been her responsibility since, and she's figured out how to care for it relatively easily, possibly because she was lucky in its particular texture, but she would also recommend using a *lot* of shampoo and a *lot* of conditioner(separately, this troper never mixes them) in the shower. It's currently at waist-length and she, too, abhors the thought of cutting it.
#107303
This troper considers herself lucky - her hair is hip-length and she can wash it without brushing before or after then sleep on it down and wet and it takes less than a minute to brush in the morning. That may contribute to her split ends problem, though... and yes, take scissors near her hair and you die.
#107304
This male troper suggests braiding instead of cutting, especially for females. It may not be exactly this trope, but it allows you to keep hair long while making them at least somewhat easier to handle.
#107305
This male (metalhead) troper usually wears a bandanna over his head to keep his just past shoulder length hair out of his face because it is too thick and curly to tied back in a way he likes as his bangshang down in a way that defeats the purpose of tying it back, nor are they long enough to properly pull back with the rest of it. Unfortunately, he can't wear the bandanna at work as it is against the dress code.
#107306
I keep this kind of hair to give off a better KubrickStare. I also keep it for other reasons, and it would be longer if my family let me keep growing it before, they seem to have gotten better about it. It's just above my shoulders, and I have joked that I'll only consider cutting my hair if other people are accidently stepping on it, though that joke is actually truthful, just like my joke that the other qaulification for it being time to cut my hair would be if I'm playing tron with it. This trope seems to be my defining trait. I seem to be getting crazier about this trope every day, thinking that long hair is the most beautiful thing a person can have, and fearing that someone would cut my hair, which would probably make me mad enough to give some EyeScream.
#107307
This tropette is currently growing out her thick curly hair. And it is a pain in the butt. To brush it, I usually brush all but the ends out, then braid it, then brush the ends. It works fairly well, and when my hair is wet or straightened, it's about an inch away from my navel.
#107308
This troper tried to get very long hair once but it didn't seem to get longer than her shoulder blades.
#107309
At the moment, her (female) swedish teacher in university has hair down to her hips.
#107310
Until a few weeks ago this troper had hair down to her bottom. It only took two years to grow from shoulder length.
#107311
You must have lucked out on hair growth--the average hair growth rate is half an inch per month (or about 1.22 cm).
#107312
I think the reason my hair is so long (waist-length) is due to constantly being mistaken for a boy (when my hair was only chin-length and I admittedly kind of dressed like one) in preschool. And everyone keeps saying I should cut it now...except my boyfriend... However, it helped me score a touchdown in football once.
#107313
Until I was fourteen, I had never, ever had a haircut. My hair was down to my bottom. I, then, got it cut up above my ears with the intention of re-growing it out, but soon decided that not having to use half a bottle of shampoo and conditioner every time I washed it and not having horrible tangles because I didn't spend an hour brushing it was a good thing.
#107314
Knee-length, anyone? I'm just waiting to see when it bottoms out.
#107315
A few years ago this troper came across an arguement regarding an anime character's braid and whether or not it was physically possible to get hair that long (said braid was long enough for the character to wrap it around his neck like a scarf). Since this troper already had pretty long hair (I hate getting it cut), I decided to put it to the test. Like the character in question I keep it braided, and thus, out of the way. I haven't quite reached the true hair-scarf stage yet but I'm only a couple of inches off and the braid is now long enough that I can tuck the end into the back pocket of my jeans.
#107316
This troper used to have long hair (waist or bottom length) for most of her childhood. Her stepmother tricked her into cutting it shoulder-length when she was twelve. Her mother really liked it and cut it shorter than most boys (12-year-old boys.) She hasn't cut it since then and her hair is now mid-back length. Her goal is knee-length.
#107317
This troper's hair enjoys growing. It takes maybe half a year for it to grow from shoulder length to past her breasts. She recommends a very slight trim of about half an inch every time it starts getting rough. *pets long hair*
#107318
This troper has hair that's past her waist, and doesn't plan on getting it cut any time soon. She also doesn't find it heavy or unmanagable at all.
#107319
This troper loves her thick-but-soft, hip-length hair, and wishes it would grow longer... she doesn't want to grow it past her knees though, because she's heard that Crystal Gale got terrible headaches. Troper's friend has even longer hair, and periodically cuts it to shoulder-length. Within a month or so it's grown all the way back (perhaps this is a TV show where StatusQuoIsGod ?). This troper is extremely envious.
#107320
Preventing headaches is why this (female) troper normally wears her thick, very long hair in a bun. That and she's often in chemistry and biology labs, and it ensures that her hair is not going to contaminate experiments nor visa versa.
#107321
This male troper used to have hair all the way down to his shoulders, and while surfing various sites, once found a teen model with hair literally down to her knees.
#107322
Lalana?
#107323
This troper's hair is currently waist-length. She's starting to get the "what a long hair" compliments, and when she tells people her goal is to get it to knee-length, they don't take her seriously. Bah. It won't be too long before it gets there -- four years ago, she had it shorter than most boys in her class.
#107324
One of this troper's good friends (Laura) in middle school had blond, gorgeous hair that went down past her butt. In eighth grade a first grade student at the school was diagnosed with leukemia and had to get chemo. Laura cut her hair to above her neck and donated it to locks of love. Locks of Love made sure that the first grader got most of Laura's hair in her wig, and this troper has never seen a person throw away hats so happily.
#107325
Averted with this troper. Her hair was so long it kept getting stuck in those chair-desk combinations in her high school classrooms as well as having a tendency to never dry, so she finally lost her temper, chopped it off, and donated to Locks of Love. She is currently trying to grow it back, except it keeps coming back curly. And this troper is Asian. What the hell?
#107326
This troper's (male) friend has hair halfway down his back. He constantly has girls playing with/touching it.
#107327
This troper has long hair. VERY long hair. It is a full meter when it is braided. Because of this, I often have to deal with people playing with the braid and/or telling me they want to/I should cut it.
#107328
This female Troper has very long hair. The only problem is it has a tendency to blow into my face on a windy day (regardless of what direction the wind's actually blowing)
#107329
This troper has it down to her butt. Last time she had it trimmed, she had to stand up because the hairdresser couldn't reach the ends if she was sitting down.
#107330
Ah...December 2007 my hair was just touching my hips, but it was in pretty scraggily condition so my friend took me to have "just six inches off!" It ended up being over a foot, and my hair was shoulderlength -.- at the moment (June 2009) it's down to my breasts, BUT because there's stupid layers in it I can't tie it back properly anymore, it just falls out of the band -.- anyways, trying to get it as long as possible 'cause I'm stubborn XD and I have the genes for it anyways, my big sisters have both had hair to their butts before! (Wow sorry for wall'o'text...)
#107331
This trope is exactly why I had my hair cut late last year; it took forever to brush it and even longer to dry it.
#107332
Mine is waist length and fairly thick, but doesn't cause me any particular trouble other than taking a fairly long time and a lot of conditioner to wash. Wearing it in braid most of the time helps.
#107333
This troper's hair is approximately knee length, though as she's only 5'1'', that isn't saying a whole lot...
#107334
I have hair ''almost'' to my waist, yet I'm having a hard time growing it out because of how thick it is. I'd gotten it cut about a year and a half ago - around Christmas 2007 - to shoulder length. The scissors couldn't cut it all off at once though, so they gave me two ponytails, and tried again. Double the donation for Locks of Love. :D
#107335
Also, has anyone with this trope in their childhood dreaded the school bus for it's little nut and bolts? It's like they hug your hairstrands and never give them back.
#107336
Ow. Actually, ThisTroper's auditorium used to be a theather, apperently. The chairs have teeny bolts, and if I lean back...pain D': Her hair ends around the small of her back, used to be arse length. It actually isn't very hard to maintain, but then again I never let it out of the ponytail :|
#107337
ThisTroper has wavy blonde hair down to her butt, and if she sits up straight she can even sit on the ends of it. Most people don't usually notice, however, because she always twists in on itself to make a bun and secures it to the back of her head with a crochet hook. She wants to see how long it gets and keep growing it out, but even while literally brushing a handful of conditioner into her hair while in the shower, the ends are still getting pretty ratty. She has finally accepted that soon she will have to get a few inches cut off.
#107338
She would also like to mention a fun little incident she had while still in the dorms of her old art school. We had to clean up the place on a weekly basis, and had a small hand-vacuum that we'd use on the floors. She was doing this one day with her hair down, and suddenly it got a hold of one of her locks. '''''WHACK!''''' right in the face. She was left a bit dizzy, blood flowing down from her nose, hair stuck in the vacuum, and the smell of both burning plastic and shorting wiring. She then had to call out "Help! Help!" for her roommates to come to her rescue. It wasn't all that fun when it was happening, but This Troper now finds it to be a hilarious story.
#107339
This troper had blond hair down to the middle of her back. I cut it off when I was 11 (and donated it to Locks of Love) and it's been getting even shorter ever since. It was the shortest when I was 17, less than an inch all over. Now, at 21, my hair's in a pixie-ish style. I have to say, I find short hair way easier to deal with than long hair.
#107340
At a young age, this troper cut her hair VERY short and it looked awful, made her face look far rounder than it was, and she was constantly mistaken for a boy. Now she and her mother battle weekly about the length. It's just part bra-length (best description, I apologize for its oddness), and this troper will defend it, and will only go kicking and screaming to a hairdresser. She's the first to admit, however, that it often become caught in car doors, and it's awfully frizzy. Her goal is to get it to her hips, but the troper's mother will fight 'til the end to avoid that.
#107341
This troper once saw a woman come out of a store and get into a car, having to scoop her knee-length hair with both arms and pile it in the passenger seat to do so. And has a coworker whose hair is bottom-butt length, at least. (Don't see her standing very often, mainly sitting in her cube.)
#107342
When this troper was in kindergarten, a teenaged girl down the street had hair that ''dragged'' on the street for a good inch or so.
#107343
Tropers/SunnyV has had long hair all her life (even as a newborn it was down to her shoulders) and she loves it. It's at her waist now, and it takes five minutes to brush. She almost always hears the same three questions/comments whenever she meets someone and they don't know what to talk about: (a) Your hair is so long! (b) When was the last time you cut it? (alt. Are you going to cut it? And then something about Locks of Love (if this troper does cut her hair, it's going to be donated.) It's long enough to strangle people. I've checked. Also, this troper keeps having to ask during, say, a game of tag, if hair counts as a taggable body part.
#107344
And then it got subverted; she just got an ImportantHaircut, and it's going to be donated.
#107345
This troper's hair is long for her race, it is a bit past shoulder length (Howeer, it dosen't look like it). This troper's Mum has explained that my hair is like her grandmother's, and once I get older will be about arse-length.
#107346
This black troper has very thick, waist-length hair when it's straightened with wax. When it's not, it's an enormous afro. Her mother says it's because she never used a relaxer, but this troper chalks it up to a high protein diet. She wears it long to keep her head and neck from getting cold or sunburned, and why buy a hat when you can grow your own?
#107347
This troper has very, very thick hair that used to be down to her waist (evil mother refused to let her grow it out any longer) but an unfortunate incident involving what must have been the largest wad of chewing gum in history and a whole jar of wasted peanut butter resulted in it getting hacked off to just above shoulder-length. About nine months later, it's already grown back at least four inches. To be honest, I'm a little glad I had to cut it – it's a lot healthier now than it was before, and I'm looking forward to the satisfaction of having it long again. Say what you want about it being difficult to take care of and getting in the way of everything, having long hair has always made me feel a little proud. And it's actually ''more difficult'' for me to manage it short; I was used to using massive amount of conditioner pre-cut, so it was constantly oily looking until I could figure out how much I needed, up until recently it was just slightly too short in some places to pull back in a pony tail, so I could never get it out of the way, and even when I tucked it behind my ears to get it out of my face it would still flop over my shoulders. Even now that it's just slightly longer it's way easier to handle, since my shoulders and a few ponytail holders can restrain it. It might just be a thick hair thing or because I had never had my hair short before now, but having it long actually seems easier to me.
#107348
My mom used to have waist-length "virgin" hair, but it got to be too much of a pain to put up for work.
#107349
ThisTroper had boy-short hair up until she was twelve, and then stopped cutting it; it grew in extremely thick and curly, and by the time she was sixteen, it was down to her waist-- when it was dry. Wet, it was down to her thighs. (Incidentally it could also hold about two dollars in loose change when coins were dropped into her ponytail) She finally had to cut it when she made the mistake of taking a bath instead of a shower and couldn't pull her wet hair out of the tub because of the added weight of the water.
#107350
This Troper's childhood friend, being an extremely girly girl, has long, thick, extremely curly princessy hair that reaches her back which she loves to dress in various ridiculous ways. Said friend used to love dressing up this troper's hair when we were younger and I had the same long thick hair (although not curly at all), before I cut my hair to ear-length.
#107351
This troper's hair is almost down to her bum (finally). I made the very grave mistake of cutting it to my chin about five years ago and completely hated it, and have been growing it back out ever since. I always had hair down to my waist as a kid, and I want to see if I can get it knee-length (though I don't know if I'd keep it that long, since I imagine it would be a bit more of a pain than it is now). I mostly just braid it if I don't want to deal with it or have it in my face, and I'm willing to invest the time and care necessary into it because I really do like having it long. The only trouble is that I started going grey very young, so periodically I have to toss some dye at my roots, which can get...interesting...when you have to toss around so much hair to get at all your roots. And keeping the braid away from the cat is sometimes an effort.
#107352
This troper has another example of the darker side of long hair...the wind blew her waist-length hair in front of her face, then suddenly changed direction so half of it went down her throat. She had to physically pull it out.
#107353
This troper once decided to see how long she could grow her (very thick) hair. She got to where it was long enough to tuck into her waistband before cutting it to a more manageable length. (She's currently growing it out again to donate to Locks of Love.)
#107354
This troper has long, straight hair around hip length and washes it in the shower(with, of course, masses of shampoo and conditioner). However, it has a tendancy to fall out- everyone's hair falls out, it's just mine is so long and catches the light everyone notices the bits of hair I leave on all my coats- and so may contribute to the utterly undignified truth-in televison that is actually having to pull strands of hair out of your arse after a hair-washing shower. I'm really, really sorry for giving you all that mental image.
#107355
This troper's hair is not quite as long as your's but I still have to pull it out of my arse when I have a shower.
#107356
This Troper's friend has hair to her hips. She keeps it long despite of people playing with it (which she dislikes). She says that she's ''too lazy'' to cut it short, like what she would say for other things.
#107357
Me and my little sister have hair that's about tailbone length. Recently my mum lost her hair to cancer treatment and now that she's been told she's likely to survive it by the doctors she's decided to grow her hair back and never cut it again, which'll probably make her an example of this trope in the future.
#107358
This (male) Troper has hair that's down between his shoulder blades, and would reach further if it didn't curl up at the bottom. He would keep it in a pony tail to keep it out of the way if it wasn't for his apparently feminine face and lack of facial hair. Has been mistaken for a girl several times.
#107359
And a few years ago he went on a speedboat. Bad decision. Took an hour or two of careful brushing to get all the knots out. He also never faces away from the wind if he can help it. Suddenly having your vision filled with hair when you're crossing the street is not pleasant.
#107360
This Troper has extremely fine, hip-length hair with blue tips. It turns into dreadlocks with the slightest hint of a breeze, and takes about half and hour to forty-five minutes to brush. It's tries to eat things, and she's lost things in it too many times to count. She loves it anyway.
#107361
This troper loves long, VERY LONG hair. Too bad that he, with long hair, looks like a very ugly emo guy.
#107362
This Troper once had EXTRMELY thick, curly, waist-lenght hair. The ammount of time she dedicated to keeping it healthy was better measured by the ammount of time she DIDN'T spend keeping it healthy. At age eleven, she cut it just past her shoulders. It would still strangle her if she left it out at night, but it was much more manageable. Then, at thirteen, she developed Trichotillomania, a hair-pulling anxiety-related OCD, and decided that keeping it short would make it easier for her to deal with the disorder. It took her about a year to decide to cut her hair, but now, at age sixteen, with her Trich under control, many people have suggested that she try growing it back out. She enjoys her pageboy curls so much, comparing the three minutes of light brushing in the mornigs now, to the TWO HOURS of heavy-duty combing every night, that she questions whether she really needs to grow it back out. Plus, watersports are much more fun when you don't have up to six extra pounds weighing you down, and if it's short, it's less likely to be in the way whenever she's stuck babysitting much, much younger siblings and family members. Oh, and boys really like to pet my short curls. My current boyfriend actually gets offended when someone suggests I grow it out. He says there's nothing less romantic than having to untangle your hand out of your girlfriend's man-eating hair everytime you want to run your hands through it.
#107363
This troper's hair goes down to about her tailbone. She almost never puts it up and as such gets a lot of old women on the street telling her "what pretty hair you have, honey." Her friends like to play with it and occasionally do weirder things, like wrap it around their necks or tie her hands with it. On the plus side, it's great for making lewd jokes. ''What's something that's thick, long, and everyone wants to touch it?''
#107364
Me. It's the complete opposite of how I looked a few years ago-I basically shaved my hair bald, didn't cut it for 6 years and now my hair is down to my waist.
#107365
Handy tip: long enough hair can be tucked into one's shirt collar in a pinch, such as when eating. This male troper had hip-length hair for several years, until neck problems resulting in daily migraines forced it to be cut, a sad fact. Even after several weeks of not touching it, it took at worst a couple minutes to brush perfectly smooth, and being half-Japanese, it was thick, quite straight, and very, very dark brown. Maybe some day, if I can see a chiropractor and, just possibly, fix my spinal problems...
#107366
My hair goes down to my butt, when I was six I decided I was against hair cutting, so fast forward till I was about thirteen and I get it cut to below my bra line, two year later I think it grew all the way to my butt again, My teacher is trying to make me cut it higher then like waist length (Which is wear I'd cut it if hypothetically it gets cutt again). He won't get his way! (I am currantly 19!). No guy who thinks touching is unnatural is making me cut my hair higher then I want it to be!
#107367
For the first 7 or so years of my life, my hair was long enough to sit on (and come out the other side of my legs if sitting indian-style). My biggest goal as a kid was to grow the world's longest hair. Needless to say, as I got older, my interests definitely changed and while still long and pretty, my hair isn't nearly as Rapunzel-ish.
#107368
My cousin's long dark hair really makes her resemble Sailor Mars (if Mars was ten). When she gets it cut, it's only about an inch.
#107369
Not as long as the hair of other people on this page, but this troper's hair stops growing once it hits about the middle of her back. It's long enough for me to reach behind my back and grab it, which surprises people a bit.
#107370
My little brother's piano teacher had hair like this.
#107371
I was friends with two girls in high school who had ridiculously long, blonde hair. One of them was even able to style it into a SailorMoon-esque odango-and-pigtails combination!
#107372
This troper didn't cut her hair for the first sixteen years of her life, and by then it had reached her thighs. Long and thick enough to be ''heavy'' and dark brown... then, in a fit of adolescent idiocy, she had it chopped to her shoulders. Now, a year and a half later, it's down to about the middle of her back, and ''damn'' but she misses it. She's trying to grow it back out, and severely regretting the chop.
#107373
Friend of mine has red hair like this. Combined with giant Moe brown eyes, giant Moe glasses, and a giant Moe personality, (along with a SLAMMIN body and an inability to draw anything non-manga, and her fluent Japanese...) we're trying to figure out what anime she escaped from.
#107374
This (female) troper's hair is working on waist-length and naturally light blonde. She ''fucking hates it'' and she's chopping it off as soon as she can (and donating, too.)
#107375
This troper actually knows a ''male'' example, who has a tendency to be CampStraight. And he's Turkish.
#107376
I have a quasi-HimeCut that reaches around my elbows, which I plan to grow out past my waist. To make this slightly more practical, I always keep my hair in braids (which goes great with how I like to dress). One problem: people can't resist tugging on them when I'm not looking. I'm a bit jumpy and tend to freak out when someone touches me unexpectedly, so HilarityEnsues.
#107377
This troper used to have a crazy-long HimeCut before she chopped it off into a bob almost a year and a half ago. In an even greater display of idiocy, she got a pixie cut last August. It's grown out a LOT since then, though (I'm writing this early February of 2011). As of now, my hair looks EXACTLY like Rukia's (except more brown and obviously less AnimeHair-ish), and I'm planning on growing it out to my ankles.
#107378
This troper is Indian - his mother had this for a while. She got it cut because it got in the way (she worked in a lab).

Due to my fast growing hair, this troper has grown her hair long enough to sit on twice in the past ten years, two other occasions where she had enough hair to have a foot chopped off to donate to Locks of Love with the resulting length being only marginally above the shoulder blades, and late last May (this being written early April 2011) I got about a foot and a half of hair chopped off to look a bit like Rena from the Higurashi series, except a bit shorter and kind of curly. (You know, in that zone where it's not really curly but still too curly to be considered straight.) It's grown considerably since then, and I suspect it will be past my shoulder blades by mid May. Amusingly enough, when I let my hair get long it looks remarkably similar to Naraku's.

This troper has her hair around her waist when down and properly groomed. However it's EXTREMELY thick, curly and tangly. Normally (out of lack of care to it) it is worn in a ponytail that manages to tangle with itself and only reaches half of that. In any case, it is not far from a futakuchi onna's hair or Yog Sothoth

This troper's hair is so long that when she's watching a movie with friends and a character gets hurt/killed, her friends will invariably cry out "Use your hair!" To which she responds with ''"Flower, gleam and glow..."''. How's THAT for Rapunzel Hair?

I don't have RapunzelHair and I couldn't tell you even if I had, but I once came across a band that had two guys with hair to their hips. They're a nasheed band, which means they sing Islamic songs, but boy did I go 'hnnnggghhh' when I saw them. RapunzelHair is so goddamn sexy on a guy.

Hell, this (male) troper has a long black wig (down to mid-back) that was purchased for a cosplay, and it looks quite good in a ponytail. Because it's the same color as his natural hair and isn't too conspicuous, he's thinking of wearing it when going out with his otaku friends sometimes to see what girls think of guys with RapunzelHair.

This male troper had hair down to his chest and only took a year to grow.im half way to growing it back

This troper has class with a girl with hair down to her knees who often pulls her hair tie out when in class. When It's up, you could swear that she hides half of it down her shirt with how well she ties it.

This troper is proud to report: seventeen years old, hair down to her" calves". Hair that long is HEAVY when it's up, almost painfully so. (Unless it's unnaturally thin or sparse)

This troper used to have a goal in elementary school to have the longest hair in my class (I came in second), till my mom convinced me to donate it. Then I started keeping it really short (Though it would grow back to past my shoulders well before my next hair cut), and now I went back to growing it long.

In middle school, this troper's hair was long enough that it reached her butt. Its also naturally very curly, so when it was straightened, it went down pretty dang far. It took two hours (or more) to straighten. My guy friend was mortified when I got it cut (against my will and by the nagging of my aunt and mum) to shoulder length. He likes it when girls have long hair, especially RapunzelHair, and thought I looked much nicer with it long. I've been trying to grow it out, but was dragged to another hair cutting (by my cousin, who thinks I'd look cute with shorter hair). I miss my RapunzelHair :'(

Now, though, she knows a girl whose long, straight dark hair goes well past her butt. She wants to get it cut but her mum won't let her.

This troper has hair that sort of fits this trope, except when wet. Most of the time it's straight, but then it either goes frizzy while still straight, or it goes curly. It goes down to my waist. I want it really really long though.

This tropette is a borderline example, also while being a BrainyBrunette. Of course, I'm getting an ImportantHairCut soon, along with a color change to [[FieryRedhead deep auburn]]

This troper has pin straight hair that reaches slightly past my waist, is completely managable (as in, I can go days without brushing it, if I'm wicked lazy... so far, three days is when a noticeable knot forms, but even that can be combed through in a matter of moments), and looks pretty good, too. I have no intent of cutting it any time soon, either. Not much shampoo is necessary to completely clean it. I love my RapunzelHair, even though I would look cute with a bob...

This troper used to have hair long enough that it could be worn as a shirt (but not a dress). The hairs themselves were very thin, but there were so many follicles that the weight of the hair was giving me headaches. It got to the point that any bun/ponytail above the general medulla area couldn't be worn for more than a minutes. I donated it a while ago, and I'm saving an unbelievable amount of money on Advil and conditioner.
