PeekABangs

A girl at my school does this a lot. It's creepy.

This troper regularly hid behind her bangs, back when her hair was down to her mid-back instead of not-even-two-inches. After a while she realized she was using it as a defense mechanism she no longer needed, since the only people she was still hiding from were {{Jerk Ass}}es who only wanted to get some reaction out of her, and...hiding like this was it. Cue ImportantHaircut.

This troper once worked in sales with a male friend who had this kind of hair. Reason? He was blind in one eye, it just happened to settle that way.

@/MacPhisto loves, loves, loves, loves, LOVES emo boys, especially when they wear their hair like this.

This tropes sports this hairstyle with curly blonde hair, because I don't like showing my face fully and feel very exposed when it's pulled back. If I put my hair up I still let enough hair down to cover the left side of my face and if all my hair is pulled back, I hide behind make-up to make myself feel safer.

This Troper had these for a while, but then I realized how much it was affecting my vision. I also needed a haircut (my hair was ''over a foot'', yes, a ''foot'' longer than normal bangs by the time I stopped due to lack of haircuts), so I now just tuck my bangs behind my right ear. Problem solved. Looks pretty too.

This Troper used to have these types of bangs. It was the current 'in' style at the time. I admit it as one of the biggest haircutting blunders in my life, aside from the fact that when I was in fourth grade, I cut the tiny bangs that were sprouting from the top of my forehead with simple kiddie scissors. For months, I found it partially impossible to see. Also, due to the fact that I was in 7th grade, it caused me to breakout awfully. Truth is, I was so shy that I ''wanted'' to hide my face. But, as I grew more confident, I realized they were a rather damning handicap. Luckily, and eventually, my bangs ''did'' grow out.

I have bangs that hang all the way down to my mouth, but I part them in such a way that only my left eye is covered. It's not hard to see, since my glasses keep them from actually going INTO my eyes, and they're thin enough as to where they're not an opaque curtain. It's justified since my right eye is lazy and covering my left forces it to become stronger, thus improving my vision. I look and dress like a stereotypical emo guy, but I'm not. I'm actually quite happy and bouncy. I only dress like that because a] I like the way it looks and b] it gets female attention, so...
