I didn't realise a full survival was so difficult on my first playthrough, because I fluked past the 'Hold the Line' dilemma. I had Legion as Tech, Garrus as Leader for both teams, Jack as Biotics, Jacob as Escort and I just picked Mordin (and someone else) for the boss because I loved his Incinerate power. After my playthrough I looked up the mission and found out that Mordin is very likely to die holding the line. Turns out I saved his life by accident
