IAmNotLeftHanded
#66949
Not combat related, but this troper's father broke his right hand while in University and claimed that he didn't have the ability to continue doing work. He's left-handed.

This troper, as much as possible. When this troper got in a fight, and it wasn't going so well, she started punching with her left hand. She is right handed, yet hits stronger with that. So, when the enemy's friend decides to step in, this troper kicks him in the face. This troper always got into fights with her older brother, who had more upper body strength, and thus is best at kicking and such.

This troper is an ambidextrous saber fencer. When this troper fenced in a competition left-handed and was sadly defeated, this troper approached the winner, grinned, and said "I admit it, you're better than I am." The victorious combatant looked pityingly at the troper in question, and said "Awww, don't say that." It might possibly be the biggest disappointment of this troper's life, and said troper walked off muttering "I am not left-handed."
#66952
Now see, the ''proper'' response would have been to punch the guy in his face with your right hand and then say the trope name.
#66953
I've been known to arm wrestle with my right hand, often winning. I ''am'' actually left handed.
#66954
When this troper took up Taekwondo, her instructors asked her multiple times if she was sure she wasn't left handed. Apparently she's way better doing left-handed (or -footed) kicks, than right-handed ones. She prefers to train her right side, though, leading her to be one of these should she ever get into a fight.
#66955
This troper is left-handed, but when Olympic activities came around during school, she was surprised at the fact she's right handed at most - if not all - the sports in it.
#66956
Even though this troper is left-handed at almost everything, she is not when she uses scissors and does a few sports.
#66957
This troper was once fighting a light saber battle with a cousin who didn't know her very well, using her right hand. The two of us were pretty evenly matched for a while, but when this troper was backed into a corner, she switched her light saber to her left hand and said something along the lines of, "You're good, but I'm left-handed." and proceeded to kick butt.
#66958
This troper is left handed, but does certain things like lightsabers, scissors and some golfing with his right hand.
#66959
This troper is not left-handed, this troper is not right-handed either. This troper is ambidexterious!
#66960
This troper is left handed, but uses his right hand when batting in baseball
#66961
This troper is reasonably sure that most people who are generally right/left handed, but are told by trainers they're better with the other hand, probably learned to write with the wrong hand.
#66962
This troper can support that theory - I am better at everything with my left hand, excluding writing, which I can't do for the life of me left-handed, as I learned with my right.
#66963
This troper once had opportunity to use both "Fortunately, I am not left-handed," and "As you wish," . . . during foreplay.
#66964
You my dear troper, are made of win.
#66965
This Tropette is right-handed, but uses her left hand in archery. Granted, you use both hands to fire an arrow, but I use my left where most right-handed people would use their right.
#66966
This right-handed troper makes backward checks when correcting papers, so people always ask if she's left handed.
#66967
This troper is right-handed, but has endeavoured since the age of six to do most things with his left hand. Seeing as i can now easily pass as a left-hander, i think it's paid off.
#66968
When playing badminton against someone who isn't as good this left-handed troper will use her right hand instead, as a handicap.
#66969
This right-handed troper tends to play guitar lefty - and thus upside down. The combination offends my little sister's OCD sensibilities no end.
#66970
This troper is really weirdly cross-dominant. I'm mostly right-handed and use my right hand for writing, drawing, and eating, but I tend to use my left hand more when opening jars, drinking, and using scalpels (although I can also use my right hand for them).
#66971
This troper is right-handed, but any kind of activity which requires a stance (snowboarding, martial arts, etc) he does left handed. It's just more... comfortable.
#66972
I know you aren't me, because the writing style is different from mine, but...
#66973
This troper might just be ambidextrous, although the first "hand" taught when I was a child was right. I learnt to use the left one as well, and is known to write, eat, cut, play ping-pong, and numerous other activities with the left hand. There has been many times when I can only say (with a chuckle) that I am not left-handed.
#66974
Almost inverted: When a right-handed fencer comes up against a left-handed fencer, they are often at a disadvantage, as they will not have been able to practice against a left-hander very often. I, however, was one of only two right-handed people in my fencing club at university, and consequently have less trouble when facing a left-hander.
#66975
I dont know if this would be considered an "I Am Not Left Handed" moment, but here it goes anyway... I was playing Street Fighter IV with a friend, and we are playing at the same level of skill (I was playing Sagat and he was playing E. Honda), when he says "Hey, you shouldnt have Sagat as your main, its really cheap" Then I select Gouken (My REAL main) and win... 14 CONSECUTIVE TIMES
#66976
This troper is right handed, but she plays GuitarHero lefty because it's easier to push the buttons that way. This leads to questions from people who have never seen me play before.
#66977
I'm right-handed, but I'm ambidextrous when firing handguns. This has led to me shooting left-handed at a light gun game, and when I started getting about even with my opponent, switching hands and dominating them.
#66978
I'm right-handed, but I broke my right arm and was supposed to not use it for a while as a kid, so I'm stronger with my left hand. Cue switching hands in lacrosse based on the need of accuracy or power, and losing arm-wrestling with one hand but winning with the other.
#66979
When I played one on one basketball with one of the best players in the STATE (back then I did NOT know that), I managed to score about two goals straight and feeling idiotically arrogant, told him to suck it. Cue SlasherSmile and sudden boost in speed and dexterity. Saying that I was manhandled would sound like an {{Understatement}}.
#66980
My hands are weird - I write much more effectively with my left hand, and I'm more
dexterous with it, but my right hand is much stronger.
Sinister.
#66981
When I play the Wii against my younger (or much older) relatives I usually use my left hand. If some of them starts bragging a bit too much, I just switch hands and remind them that I am not left handed, before humiliating them.
#66982
I am right-handed, but for some unknown reasons I feel more confortable at few things (such as using a knife) with the left.
#66983
Used by this troper, pretty much word for word, during a game of BADMINTON. It was my personal moment of awesome, and everyone except my opponent was laughing. (He turned white- he was already 12-5 down in a first to 20 match)
#66985
This Troper is somewhat confused on whether he's either left handed, or ambidextrous. I'm pretty good with my left hand to the point I believe myself to be ambidextrous, but I can use my right hand pretty good as well. All this troper knows is that the dominant hand is so far the left hand.
#66986
This troper was fighting a friend of his with wooden swords one time when my friend "cut off" my right hand. Cue him entering a slashing storm and me desperately blocking while saying
"I! AM! NOT! LEFT! HANDED!". The aforementioned friend beat him that match.
#66987
This troper has pulled this on unsuspecting badminto opponents in gym class several times.
#66988
Right hand: writing & computer mouse. Left hand: eating & doing my hair. Both: All of the above...and more.
#66989
Minor one, but
this troper isn't very good at SuperSmashBrosBrawl. At least, not when he actually tries to hit the opponent. But when he gets bored, and stops actually ''trying'', he becomes nigh unstoppable.
