I once got severe concussion in a bike accident, and for about ten hours afterwards suffered from what can perhaps be most easily described as Memento-style anterograde amnesia. Except that I couldn't even remember something for five seconds, let alone five minutes. Apparently it was rather creepy for my family to hear me repeating, for several hours straight and instantly forgetting the answers, "What day is it?" "I think I must have had an accident." ... "What day is it?" "I think I must have had an accident."
