Journal
Well, you wait ages for a barbecue and then two come at once. Thanks a lot to Sarah for organising the cookout, cookup or cook-whatever direction it is this evening, for preparing the best brownies to have ever existed, and making sausage-cheese-(and unfortunately sand-)balls. Also Bryn, for her expert burger-flipping.

It's sort of hit me that my second year of University is over. That's half my entire University career! Last year at this time, just after my last exam, I made a list of the achievements I'd made and the momentous occasions of the last year. Let's see what I can remember...

In no particular order, I have:

  • Met many new people, all of whom are great, many of which are leaving next year.
  • Discovered a liking and talent for DDR. The value of this is up to you to decide. Unfortunately, also got to like rather a lot of the songs on it.
  • Got back in to music writing, and been very pleased with the results and feedback on my compositions. Over 17,000 downloads in total now!
  • Found that even though I thought I was insane, there are people who are like me, and knowing that has made me feel more secure about myself and the way I am.
  • Written a great work of fiction in the form of my answers to the CH2102 exam.
  • Got myself out of the depression that lasted for a lot of last year.
  • Started my second serious relationship, this time what I feel is a truly loving one.
  • Bought a really nice dressing gown.
  • Finally got a computer that is capable of running things made after 1998.
  • Been a witness at the wedding of two of my greatest friends who helped me get through last year a lot. And it was the first friends' wedding I had been to as well...
  • Remained steadfastly teetotal.
  • Decided to change my degree from joint Chemistry and Computer Science to just the latter.
  • Compiled an all-new quote log (still growing!), and put the Quotebook-2 online.
  • Got a pendrive of which I'm immensely proud. It saved the Chemistry paper.
  • Been utterly driven mad by the lower primates that inhabit the other end of my corridor.

What about yourselves? Actually, that could become some sort of pseudo-meme. Pass it on!
