Journal

Today I found myself in the First Circle of Hell (Kirkcaldy) for a hospital visit. I hadn't been in a hospital since I was in primary two, after breaking my arm by falling over in the playground like some sort of moron. This time it was just for the human equivalent of a virus scan, and happily their verdict at the end was "Not dying", which is something of a relief even though it does mean that I still have to take the Software Engineering exam tomorrow.

I hadn't realised, though, that the process itself would be something akin to medieval torture. After the routine of prodding me with various sharp instruments was complete, the nurse thought I was going to pass out because I looked "really pale". I just informed her that I was a computer scientist and therefore never saw sunlight anyway, and that seemed to convince her that I was all right.

Now I have almost exactly ten hours to revise ten weeks of pointless theory.
