Raise your hand if Chemistry is your least favorite class subject.

Nope. In fact, this troper is planning to do Chemistry at university.

While programming a game in Game Maker 8 Pro, I found while playtesting a particular level that some platform blocks would disappear when you touched them. They were exactly the same instance as all the others. I never figured out why. So that level quickly became this.

Might I recommend programming the blocks to disappear shortly after you step on them, and putting lots of platforms made of these blocks in the level? It might still be ThatOneLevel, but at least you're in control of why it is so.

Great Clock levels in Ratchet & Clank: Crack Across Time. Just...well, that. The minigame bits and jumping around in that clock level between missions as Clank have infuriated this troper time and time again...

Most of the levels in Pacman World 2 fell under this for me, but my most hated is the level where you have to roller-skate on a boardwalk in haunted swamp, but the hard part was that some of the platforms sink into the water and that some of the jumps are hard to make.

When LegeondOfZelda Twilight Princess was still new, I got stuck at some point and while talking about it in a game store, someone said "The water dungeon, right? Me too." When I said no, and that I'd found the dungeon easy (through dumb luck), I will never forget the wide-eyed expression he gave me over the prospect of something ''worse than the water dungeon''.

Inverted. Fancy & Schmancy's time attack in Beautiful Katamari. Too bad Namco had to release it...as an unlock code for a level on the disc.

Childhood. Good god, no one takes you seriously, everyone's hiding something, and you could figure it all out if you just learn their language, except there are so many levels and layers of meaning to learn! Middle school and high school are kind of a bitch until you figure them out, then they're kind of a thrill, but no amount of learning in childhood is going to help you through it. In fact, the more you understand, the harder it gets.

This troper is doing a no-guide HundredPercentCompletion run of DonkeyKongCountry 2. I've picked up a couple tricks to make it much easier, 100% runs of DKC games are mostly a trust exercise with the bananas. But as to be expected, some levels are utter hell to do. Ironically the bramble levels were easy. But Slime Climb... Hoo boy. I can't stay anywhere long enough to get a good look around, instead having to die repeatedly to Snapjaw to get a good look at the level and find that damn last bonus level. Luckily I found it and never have to do that stage ever again for the rest of my existence. Unless I want to.
