Usually contrasted with Canada, of all places, but sometimes Japan (this troper is Australian and favours Canada as far as living standards and possibly relative ease in eventually living there if living outside the LandDownunder is either wanted or needed; he's into Japan more out of a cultural interest in both the old and new, and also has a thing for the women, even if the ''Dutch'' women would be probably a better match culturally speaking - and marginally more likely to accept him given the Japanese women usually tend to be quite insular, he has an aversion for some unexplained reason absolutely nothing to do with an ex-girlfriend happening to be of Dutch descent. Never mind that he is a fan of WithinTemptation - no prizes for guessing where they're from...
