When she first met the man who was going to be her husband, he warned her that the cat he owned was "very shy and don't be offended if you don't see her as she doesn't like strangers". Two hours later, the cat was on her chest, purring like a fiend. For someone (mis)diagnosed with a cat allergy as a child (coupled with a cat-hater for an evil father), she's been making up for lost time.

You want this troper to be peaceful, get him near a friendly kitty, he'll be distracted for a good two hours, at least.

This Troper's father is this trope to such a degree that he worked at a pet shelter for six years despite a terrible cat allergy, because he just couldn't work there and not help the cats out. He spent so much time caring for them that ''he made himself immune to his own cat allergy'' through sheer HeroicWillpower, under the theory that, like his own mother, he would be able to acquire immunity with enough time. This Troper loves cats, but my father takes the cake in this family.

This troper loves cats, took one (a male BrokenBird with {{Jerkass}} tendencies) in, bought another one, raised the younger one's three kittens quite well...I can look after cats well, just not human beings. My dad's the same.

This troper was,at some point, 'raised' by cats,because until she was 12,she didn't had many friends,thus she spend quite an amount of time taming,raising and following her cats who reciprocated her feelings and for many years she was convinced that those animals are her only true friends she will ever miss.(Of course later,she was wrong).Nowadays she squee uncontrollably whenever she sees a kitty and attempts to follow and call any random cat crossing her path (Which is often a WTF moment when she suddenly breaks out of a serious talk with somebody else just to do that)

This troper's entire family. My mother is more a friend to all living things, and my brother's oddly good with dogs, but we all love cats. I even had one in my dorm for a while. Of course, this being a dorm full of girls, we squee'd mightily and he was highly spoiled because most of us liked cats. Most men at my college would rather strangle a cat or throw it off a roof and film it, though, which is sickening but a great way to tell who to avoid.

This troper is a lot more openly affectionate with cats than with other people, and is the only person in her family who the cat actually likes (well, she likes my mom too). Actually, I'm pretty much reduced to a blithering wreck whenever I'm in close contact with kitties. <3

One of the kindest, gentlest girls this troper knows has about four cats herself and can get even the meanest or shyest of cats to come nuzzle her. Subverted though with this troper's best friend, who loves cats, but has some serious JerkAss tendencies when to comes to everything else, especially dogs and people.

This Troper adores cats and while only owning one, talks to all cats he sees and sometimes interrupts ENTIRE RANTS to talk to his cat. This troper and his dad (also a cat lover) fed a few cats and kittens that lived at the hotel they stayed at on holiday because they looked so thin.
