This Troper's Junior Prom. Keep in mind that this troper is not very girly and was never been seen in a dress by most of her friends. It was to a point that even her own friend who was I taking (and had a crush on) said that he couldn't imagine her in a dress. Anyways, Junior Prom rolls around and when my friend first saw me, his jaw dropped. I also caused a squee out of one of my friends who is likely the most serious person you'd ever meet. This also doubles as a [=CMoA=] but needless to say, after Prom, I reverted back to my normal clothing but I did gain something new :)

One of this Troper's female friends has recently been nagging him to improve his diet after a few days of him bringing a little too much chocolate to school. One day, getting ready for school, I spotted an apple in my fruit bowl and figured I'd take it with me, so I tossed it into my lunch box and left for school. Come lunch, after third period, my [=Nakama=] took our usual table. I slid into my seat, opened my lunch box and produced the apple. Cue a JawDrop of biblical proportions from the nag, and this very satisfied Troper bursting into laughter.

This troper is the go-to guy for puns, snarking, and innuendo at my school. Especially when I'm not asked. More than once I've cracked a one-liner that crossed the line a few more times than necessary and my friends demonstrate this trope as they think, "did he really just say that?"

This Troper remembers a time her mother said something really incredulous (though she doesn't remember exactly ''what'' she said) and made not only This Troper's jaw drop, but almost ''unhinge''- as in the only way she was able to close it was pushing it back with her hand since her jaw wasn't co-operating with her.

This troper managed to get this reaction from her family, after telling them she was joining the Army before my niece's friend's bachelorette party kicked off. Said niece actually had to close my older sister's (her mother) jaw for her.

After a long day strolling through an amusement park with my mom, my two brothers and a (now ex-)girlfriend of my brother, we sat down for dinner and my mom, my younger brother and me ordered a pint of beer. We (the guys) were halfway our beer when we both looked at our mom, and saw she already finished hers. Keep in mind that we are in our 20's, who drink beer on a regular basis and our mom is mid 50's and doesn't drink nearly as much. Cue JawDrop.

This troper (a girl), while not normally dressing in very ''frumpy'' clothes, nevertheless usually wears only pants and t-shirts, and believes make-up is something that happens to other people. However, for her Year 12 Formal (Australian Prom equivalent), decided to actually dress up. The combination of her wearing a (rather pretty) dress, having her hair done up, and having make-up on, apparently transformed her into a spontaneous jaw-drop-causing machine.

My year in Academic Decathlon, I refused to read the books assigned for the Literature category (my spot on the team was guaranteed and I didn't care). During the regional competition, we were told what medals we would have won during the scrimmage/tryouts if it had counted for anything. Yeah, my jaw dropped when I learned I would have won a gold medal in Literature. Fortunately, the teachers knew I hadn't read the books before the scrimmage so I didn't have to explain (but thought I'd read them by then; I hadn't and still haven't to this day, but managed a bronze in Lit anyway).

This troper, having never heard any DreamTheater before, went to a gig they were headlining (I was there to see Opeth). For DT's entire set I just stood there, agape and utterly entranced by the sheer amount of EpicRocking on display.

Gee, wonder what'll happen next. Don't tell me: Caster haxes the fight somehow; Gil from out of nowhere; some stupid illusion crap; Ooh, or what abo--" THWACK!]] "...Wha--" CurbStompBattle. "I--" nearly snaps Saber's neck. And then a full minute of me staring at the screen, head tilted, and and utterly blank look accented with a JawDrop.

First time I got my hdtv to work. Literally 1 minute of loudly yelling "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH COME LOOK AT THIS! COME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HERE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" followed by a minute of girly laughing and squeeing (this troper is male) then like 5 minutes of just jaw drop stare

This troper has a problem of jawdropping at insignificant things. He has jawdropped at the snow outside, at a sweet counter, but best of all, at the fact an injection he had didn't hurt at all.

This troper has had this to a number of plot twists, most recently on ''HomeAndAway'' when Nicole revealed that she was pregnant to her psychotic ex-boyfriend.

This troper was recently being stupid and accidentally broke a chime off of the school band's wind chimes. One of the two witnesses, who was zoned out and banging on a drum, went into an instant JawDrop when it happened. It was the best one she has witnessed in her life.

This Troper had a massive one, upon finding a shiny Hoothoot in Pokemon Soulsilver. Turned into a Moment of Awesome for her when she caught it. She still cherishes that shiny now-a-Noctowl to this day. X3
