He's a John, as is his dad, and is friends with a Jack and a John (Who, incidentally, has the same first and middle names as his dad), he intensely dislikes a Johnny, and there are several others who he doesn't know. This makes things confusing when we have a substitute teacher. It got kind of ridiculous on a class trip: Everybody in his group had their name start with a J except one, and almost half of the J-people were named John. Referring to people by their full name or their last name is common in his class.
