This Troper can off the top of his head count nine of his friends who went to Cornell (which is spectacularly odd considering he went to high school in north east Ohio), two who went to Harvard (one of which was his Prom Date), and of other generally very well regarded Universities: one of his friends went to MIT, another to Carnegie Melon, and a third to Johns Hopkins. Another of my friends was accepted to Yale, but couldn't afford the tuition. Incidentally, this Troper is the only one of his friends who went to a public university, but hopes to amend that with med school.

Of my close friends in high school, one went to MIT, one went to UPenn, one just got into Cornell, and the other went to teach art to children on a reservation. The tropers on this page must be the exceptions to the rules, because I go to a tiny liberal arts college in Illinois.

I'm going to Cornell and my two best friends are going to MIT and Dartmouth.

I went to a private high school where most of the students were pretty affluent. A lot of them ended up going to prestigious universities, even if they weren't necessarily Ivy League.
