Perhaps it is a bit of an exaggeration to call it this trope, but this troper feels psychologically stressed by expression of heavy optimism. It's just so... bright and cheery... and... irrational. (Personal opinion, I know.) This is more of Idealism hurts Cynicism in a person who is convinced Finagle and Murphy were onto something.
