This troper has an idea for a crossover brought on by a little too much {{Vocaloid}} music: the defeated Nobodies (amongst others...) of KingdomHearts FusionDance with Vocaloids to sing their music in some sort of tournament where the winner gets their Heart back. Fusion Dancing (I'll call it "Syncing") with a Vocaloid of the opposite sex gets you Gender Bent. There are more female Vocaloids than male, and most of the cast of Kingdom Hearts are guys, unfortunately for Terra, Xemnas, Zexion, Vexen, Xaldin, Saix, and Vanitas... Amongst others...

This Troper's friend regaled me about this one DungeonsAndDragons campaign he played with a pair of guys playing women. The two guys played the women as vapid sluts and whores. My friend got tired of their idiocy, proceeded to use a Polymorph spell to turn them into men. However, in a surprising bit of CharacterDevelopment, one of the players started being all mopey, since the character identified herself as a woman, and being turned into a man was confusing and unpleasant. Because she showed such growth, they eventually returned her to her natural form. Sadly, the other player didn't pick up on this opportunity, and played his character like a man whore.

Also a subject to D&D, this troper and her guy friend in the group (it's almost always the same group) have commonly been labeled traps because of this. This is because we almost always play the same thing: a halfling male and a Tiefling female. Because this troper's male counterparts didn't seem to get the hint to stop hitting on her female characters, it turns out that her halfling male is an ''asexual'' halfling and would much like them to leave him alone, thank you very much. This is also helped IC by the fact that she has a {{Crossdressing Voice}}, so one needs to be careful when RPing with her and trying to flirt with her character because you think she's hot.

I once played a character with gender bending in his/her/its story: He was the apprentice of a wizard that worked around prostitution laws by making lifelike female clockwork constructs. However, when the master's nemesis showed up in a violent mood, he was fatally wounded and recited a soul-binding spell with his last breath... As it turns out, the finer minutiae of what is essentially a player character golem (for instance, the lack of a Constitution score) is far more interesting than the actual change...

This Troper once had a dream where he repeatedly walked in and out of a machine that changed his gender.
#54834
I had dreams just like this when I was young. Like, ''seven years old'' young. I'm slightly worried now.
#54835
This Troper just woke up from a dream in which he was given a sex change operation and put in a beauty pageant, because his country had no females of the right age, and not entering would have meant the country would be destroyed. I woke up very confused. :\
#54836
I have ''never'' had a dream where I was my real-life gender. I think I may be transsexual. Not sure yet.
#54837
This troper once had a dream where he (she? haha) got turned into a female vampire. Twice (he changed back to male after the first one; the second was permanent). In the same dream.

@/{{Quarma}} is a major gender bender junkie.
#54839
The same Quarma from deviantArt? If so, I like your work.

Same here, I've watched some of your livestreams. - @/{{Bisected8}}

This troper likes to play female characters in D&D and often gives them obscenely unorthodox moves just to break the stereotype. I also give them quirky inclinations like either being Lesbians or being unable to copulate or even being a golem just to avoid getting involved with sleezy characters.
#54842
I invoke this trope plenty of times. Sometimes, I play video games as the male lead. There is a female character in The Arcadian Legends who transforms into a man. Finally, even I transform myself (not in real life, obviously) into a male form and even got pregnant a few times.

I once was playing a MagnificentBastard in DungeonsAndDragons, and I had just discovered the spell Contingency. So I set it up - the next day, I was killed by a dragon thanks to my friends. Unfortunately for them, I had prepared for it; I cast Contingency with the condition of my death, and the spells tied to it separate Polymorph Any Object spells for each of my comrades. They were the cutest little 11-year-old girls in the land. It was also permanent.

This troper spent a summer performing in drag, for money. For comedic purposes only, although he was told he was good at it. To be honest, this troper is a circus clown.
#54845
This troper has got into the habit of making an animation of his avatar being gender bent for the Giant In The Playground forums anual GenderBender week (where everyone switches out their avatar with a Distaff or Spear Counterpart as apropriate). For the curious; 2009 (a simple Distaff Counterpart), 2010 (The theif class from ''{{Disgaea}}'', complete with a MagicalGirl-esque TransformationSequence, 2011 (a tomboyish look this time around).

A lot of people tend to think I'm a girl whenever I talk to them online. I guess the name has something to do with it.
#54847
This Troper has that happen, even with gender-neutral usernames. At one point it got so ridiculous with at least four people calling me a girl at the same time that I went out to buy a webcamera to prove it to them. Some of them still didn't believe me.
#54848
This troper has an AuthorAvatar (Not named AwesomeZombie) who has this as her power, she looks like a boy (also like this troper) as well.
#54849
This Troper tends to RP as a (not blatantly bisexual) male character, although, as you may have already assummed, This Troper is female. It gets very confusing when in-character comments are made about another character's attractiveness. Or the fact that the character is engaged. To another male.
#54850
This Troper Justifies this use of the trope, as she ''is'' transsexual. As is, she looks male.
#54851
This male Troper has succesfully roleplayed an Orc woman in a Live Action Role Playing game. He approached it seriously, asking to be addressed as a female only immediately after arriving on site (the game only started a day later). Initially, the attempt was met with skepticism by team mates (other Orcs); however, the ice broke when he (or rather she, this being fully in character) cooked a meal on the fire, telling Orc tales while doing so. The next morning, This Troper overheard the Orcs in OOC chat, referring to "her" with female pronouns. Cue silent personal CrowningMomentOfAwesome.

This Troper enjoys playing female characters in games for a variety of reasons. Besides the obvious, he likes to occasionally break stereotypes by playing women who are not whores, dress realistically, and/or aren't particularly attractive because he finds the mindset of women as items of lust or property to be downright offensive. (Not that he's completely innocent of it, of course.) He also thinks being a man and playing a woman is completely normal. For the record, he's as straight as an arrow.
#54853
This troper, when her class was reading {{Othello}}, read the part of Iago for a "reader's theatre"-type production. She was immediately acknowledged as the best Iago in the entire class.
#54854
This guy is playing with it, at least for now.
#54855
This troper is quasi-openly bi-gender on Second Life; it's fun, but he feels a bit self-conscious about it because, well, you know...
#54856
When playing the {{Pokemon}} videogames, ThisTroper always uses the female character if that option is available.
#54857
Pretty much what happened in my dream last night. Bonus points because Mum was the one who did it using god powers!
#54858
This male troper has a consistent history of playing a female character in games with character creators (with WorldOfWarcraft ironically being the only exception), particularly the recent Bioware [=RPGs=], where it was possible to create a satisfactorily accurate him-as-a-female avatar, particularly MassEffect2 in which this troper managed to create a female avatar that looked REMARKABLY like himself.
#54859
More generally, this troper (same as above) is unquestionably straight and male, yet quite often fantasizes about having a female body, being quite sure he would prefer it to his male body (and being just as sure about preferring his male body to having a faux-female flesh-sculpture for a body), and sees no conflict of identity in this since he is steadfast in his belief that everything people believe about gender identity is completely wrong and no more than people, culture, and society being sexist.
#54860
This male troper feels exactly the same and plays as female characters too.
#54861
This tropette often cosplays as male characters because of her very short hair and hatred of wigs. The athletic body and near-lack of breasts helps with the illusion.
#54862
This troper had a dream a few days back where he turned into a pretty cute girl, by choice. It was slightly disorienting, but surprisingly pleasant overall. Of course, he's had many people over the years tell him that he'd make a good girl, because he's so shy and retiring. Which is something else entirely.
