This troper is convinced that a fair bit of bullying could only be explained by this. How else do you explain the behaviour of a girl who would repeatedly call me a crybaby whenever catching me cry, say I'm talking to imaginary friends whenever catching me talking to myself, spread rumours about me, etc.? How else do you explain the guy who repeatedly blocked the gate by which I walked home, and told a bunch of little kids that ''I'' was the bully, just to get them on his side against me? How else do you explain a bunch of people in the classroom taking a lot of things from a substitute teacher's handbag and throwing it on my desk just before she came in, just to make it look like it was me who did so, and how else do you explain nobody in the classroom even said it wasn't me? This is just what's happened to me, and isn't getting into the increasingly disturbing cases of bullying described on the troper tales not only of pages like KidsAreCruel, but even of seemingly disconnected pages like TheUnfairSex.

Why d'ya think {{troll}}ing is so popular? (Besides pseudo-omgevilpcgonemadstickittotheman-ism?)

I agree. They say that insecurity plays a part in it, but I believe that most bullies are so "secure"being sarcastic that they have to boast it through bullying.

The reason I play the Sims, plan world domination, watch James Bond films to see where the villains went wrong (Aside from the obvious: "here's meh plan cuz you'll die anyway lol.") But why? Because I'm bored and could use some Vitamin Evil...

This Troper plans to take over Mars and rule over pocky farms, all the while doing dastardly plans...that really don't do that much. Yeah, I fail.

One conversation this troper and his friend had fairly recently: #QUOTE# '''Me''': We should kidnap a year eight. #QUOTE# '''Friend''': No, we should kill them all. #QUOTE# '''Me''': No, we should kidnap a year eight and take him to a maths lesson. #QUOTE# '''Friend''': Wouldn't that scar him for life? #QUOTE# '''Me''': EXACTLY!

Meh, sometimes this troper does things purely for this reason. That's when she's not being either a GenkiGirl or a ShrinkingViolet or something, though...

This Troper tries to avoid being evil for the sake of it, but sometimes ''it's just too tempting''. He has a Jekyll/Hyde sort of complex, where he in general loves being helpful to people, being nice and all that - but there are times when his nasty side wants a shot at the Steering Wheel. It rarely elevates beyond griefing in games, unless there is an AcceptableTarget (Someone he hates). Sadly they are rare, as they prove a great way to vent desires for Evulz.

I know a girl that for no apparent reason will spread the most vicious lies about people she's barely even spoken to. She tried to tell everyone in my school that I hated a student because he had epilepsy! Everyone knows her for being belligerent, rude, and hurtful.
