In highschool, a boy in my class and I were acting out a certain scene from ''TheCrucible'' where a husband threatens to chastise his wife(played by me). The guy playing my husband added a little "flair" to the role by yanking off his belt in one movement and holding it menacingly. It was pretty startling for me as I hadn't expected it, and made me jump. He didn't hit me though.

My father once hung up a belt in my sister's and my living room. You know, just in case.
