CreepyDoll

This troper works at a retail store, and sometimes customers will put objects in completely the wrong places. This led to this troper finding (in the already creepy doll aisle) a doll holding a hatchet. Laughter and paranoid looks over the shoulder followed in equal measure.

At this troper's church there used to be a doll someone had donated to play the baby Jesus in the Christmas plays was very creepy it had one half closed eye, buck teeth, and was missing much of it's hair, when my siblings and I propped it up in the acolyte room the kids who were lighting candles thought it was scary.

this troper once had a nightmare about being attacked by these after reading about that movie where that puppeteer got her tongue ripped out. Also: the Baby Alive dolls in the store he works at all giggle in unison when he walks by their display. He invariably hisses in terror.

This troper's mom had these Porcelain dolls when he was little, hung around the house. It freaked him out to no end, he was terrified of them. After a few years they broke, or she put them away (I can't recall), but nowadays he sort of likes them. Maybe he'll start collecting dolls.

Being a fan of the creepy and unusual, this troper came across these little gems at The Salvation Army. The images are a little blurry, but I can tell you that they have these bizarre, anime-looking faces on those odd, bendy-flex bodies. Also, the black-haired one has red eyes. Does anyone recognize them?

In a roleplay game, this troper who owned quite a bit of creepy dolls and stuffed animals as a child played a character whose best friend was an artisan woman. In one RP log, she wrote about the artisan making rather symbolic marionettes which she hung on her wall; the marionettes were modeled after herself, the tropette's chara and another friend, and their strings were symbolic of how they used to be manipulated by other people.
