This troper is learning Latin. He loves translating some phrases into Latin. Pugno amicis meis.

Same here. Ego soleo, et id veritas est!

At the risk of sounding like an ass if I'm right and a bigger ass if I'm wrong: your examples are... oddly phrased, if not wrong. Si latinam parum habetis, non tendete eam narrare. Extra quam, liquide, voletis plebes insculpere.

This Troper has found an interesting way to improve his Latin skills, which sometimes necessitates this. The method? Translating MEMES into Latin.
#18693
For instance: CONTENDENS ME LAZORUM! BLAAAH!

This Troper has translated the Pokemon theme song into Latin for a similar reason, and therefore had to make a word for Pokemon: Pokeman, pokemanis (3rd Decl. M).

This troper has a friend whose last name is Davis. Pretty common. VERY common. So! We started looking up family crests one night (even in social gatherings, we are all susceptible to ArchiveBinge), and in the process we came up with Davis' Latin motto: "Semper Proximus", very loosely translated as "always around".

This troper actively posts at a role-playing message board where almost anything goes. Several years ago, one event had Sailor Saturn do a Road Runner impression by beeping and racing off into the distance. My response? To hold up a sign that read: "Hotshoticus Silencius". Got a DopeSlap for it.

This troper's deviantArt signature is "Cognito ergo sum, quod er demonstratum." It actually makes sense if you think about it.

Whenever this troper has a bad day (specifically a bad day that was caused by jerks) my father always says "Illegitimum non carburandum est" (don't let the bastards grind you down)

This troper devised a rather dodgy hymn for use in ''{{Warhammer 40000}}''. #QUOTE#Is est universitas ruina ut nos agnosco\\ is est universitas ruina ut nos agnosco\\ is est universitas ruina ut nos agnosco\\ Quod ego sentio bonus
#18700
If you're willing to accept a couple of ambiguous parts (and no doubt terrible grammar), this translates to: #QUOTE#[[spoiler: It's TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt\\ It's the end of the world as we know it\\ It's the end of the world as we know it\\ And I feel fine.]]

Now, inspired by reading half of ''ShinjiAndWarhammer40K'' in one day, here's the BadassCreed of the Legio Ignatum, now in Dog Latin. #QUOTE#Hostis humanus ''intereo''. Per mei manus manus concisus.\\ The original BadassCreed goes: The enemies of mankind will ''die''. By my hand they shall be ''broken''.\\ This translation goes, literally: Enemies pertaining to man ''die''. By my hand broken. The problem is that most translation sites don't seem to have any Latin words dealing with events yet to happen, so I can't get a good "they will be". Anyone who actually speaks Latin is welcome to provide a better translation.

Actually it says "enemy a man ''I am dying.'' Through of me a hand a hand cut up," your gammar is terrible and ''concisus'' is an adjective, not a verb. But I can try: ''Generis hominum inimicos morentur. Mei manu frangebuntur.'' Mankind's enemies will die. By my hand they will be broken.

Back in the day, this Troper went to a themed scout camp. The theme was ''Ancient Rome'' and we spent the entire camp adding ''-us'' at the end of every single word.

This troper's ''Kiddieridea Est Potentia''. The language died long before coin-operated kiddie rides were invented. And oh, it was derived it from the troper's secondary school motto ''Sepentia Est Potentia'' and he has never taken any Latin classes. He just used logic to decide which word was "knowledge" and replaced it with what he thinks is DogLatin for ''Kiddie Ride''.

This is this troper's Berserk Button. Your Latin will be perfect, or I will kill you.

This troper uses an online translator when I want to go into AltumVidetur mode.
