BlackAndWhiteMorality
#15172
Tropers/CrashGordon94 not only sees morality this way, but also creates stories this way (notably his main story, which runs on a Reconstruction of this Trope) and even sees it in action IRL! (Given that I only befriend nice, well-behaved, kind or otherwise good people, and only make enemies with nasty, poorly-behaved, douche-y or otherwise bad people)

And everyone you meet is either friend or enemy?

This troper doesn't believe in BlackAndWhiteMorality(he thinks it's unrealistic),but at times can view societies as this(civiized 21st century politically correct society is good, the Romans were evil)
#15175
Modern society is not good at all. It's rotten, evil and pretty much scum.

This troper knows the real world doesn't have black and white morality, but still enjoys stories like that and was rather puzzled by Miyazaki calling it "rotten". Unfortunately, many people seem to not only view the real world this way, but also assume that if two people/forces/organizations etc. in real life are both evil, them ''must'' be working together! (for example, the assumption Saddam Hussien ''must'' have been in league with Al-Queda). People assuming that Iranian President Mammoud Amadinajad didn't legitamitely win the election seems like that kind of thinking too.

This troper, partially thanks to her love of stories with BlackAndWhiteMorality, actually tries to have a very black-and-white moral code as well. She despises grey areas due to feeling like she has no idea how to deal with them, and hates not knowing how to feel or think about something. She is perfectly aware, though, that the real world is incredibly grey, which is why she frequently prefers fictional worlds to real life. Ironically, she's come up with several stories herself which are BlackAndGreyMorality.

This troper believes that while the world can be very Grey most of the time in Morality, there are clear moments of Black and White as well.

This troper used to believe in Black-and-White Morality until she realized that this idea of morality seems to disregard circumstance. She's also known many people who are utter hypocrites with this; their so black-and-white about somethings, yet don't mind breaking those rules when they don't benefit them or aren't "edgy" enough.
